MEETING MINUTES OF THE FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF RPSA

Call to Order:
General Assembly meeting of Rwanda Pharmaceutical Students Association was held at the
Faculty of Medicine in Huye on the 22nd November 2014.
The meeting convened at 9:10 AM sharp, President Israel Bimpe presiding, and the rest of the
committee members in attendance.
Members in attendance: All Pharmacy students were invited to the General Assembly.
Approval of minutes:
The Agenda comprised of; Organizations New Profile,
Report on Former Mandates Activities,
Report of October-November 2014 Activities,
Financial status,
Action and Team Plan 2014-2015,
6th IPS & 15 years Anniversary,
4th Regional AfPS and finally
Open Floor Discussion for all attendees.
Officers Reports:
President Israel Bimpe,
Vice President Geoffrey Beingana,
Public Health Officer Mandela Elie,
Treasurer Romalice Rebero,
Chairperson of 6th IPS Nadine Abizera
Chairperson of 4th AfPS Marie Ange Uwase.
Committee Reports:
Motion to revamp the Constitution & Internal Rules of RPSA Accepted,
Motion to permanently change name of association from AEPHAR to RPSA,
Motion to have RPSA Elections in April instead of September for easier Transition,
Motion on signed memorandum between MKU and UR Pharmacy students unification
under RPSA,
Report on the budget and progress in organizing Rwandas 6th Annual International
Pharmaceutical Symposium slotted for 14th February 2015,
Report on the budget and progress in organizing the 4th Regional African Pharmaceutical
Symposium slotted for 9th to 14th July 2015,
Report on the success of Anti-Diabetes awareness campaign conducted 13th to 14th
November 2014,
Report on Financial Status of RPSA and initiating Subscription for its members.

Announcement: Sale of NdumuPharmacist wrist bands as fundraising effort for RPSA.
