Dear Parents / Caregivers

On Wednesday 3/12/14 we will be going to the Staveley Limeworks site where we will look at a karst
landscape and see limestone in different forms. The trip is to reinforce learning from our reading and
writing programme. We will also revisit concepts taught in term one on wetland biodiversity.
Thanks for all the offers of transport however as Methven Travel and Mt Hutt Ski are donating buses, we
will not require parent transport.
Parents are still welcome to come and transport their own children but please advise Keryn or Stuart
before we leave.
Students must bring sturdy shoes, rain jacket, lunch and drink. Optional items are school uniform,
garden trowel, magnifying glass and fossil books or information.
We will still go in rain but not extreme weather. If in doubt come to school as a normal day. We intend
to depart the school at around 9:30 returning by 1:00pm
We will collect a gold coin donation to cover cost of Diesel. Any questions please do not hesitate to
contact.

Regards
Keryn Hooker (021)02930018
Stuart Cooke (021)2952506
