Research Question: How is the society protecting endangered species?
Working Thesis Statement: The society is protecting endangered species by passing plans to
each state.
Refined Thesis Statement: Society protects endangered species by passing acts such as State
Wildlife Action Plans that act like a blueprint for conservation.

Endangered and Threatened Species article teaches people about the basic question; what
are endangered and threatened species? Also, the article talks about how extinction happens.
Extinction happens when species disappear because of changes of the Earth that are caused by
nature or by the actions of people. Therefore, why do we protect endangered and threatened
species? Humans depend on wildlife and plants, and our basic necessities are learned such as
growing foods, making clothing, and building houses. If we fail to protect threatened or
endangered species, we will never know how they might have improved our lives. This article is
relevant to the research question because humans can be affected by endangered species too.

Natural Resources Conservation Service article is about how farmers/society, and what
they are doing to protect and restore natural resources. It shows all the efforts in America that
have been going on to help endangered species. Such as conservation of environment, and how
the environment and animals actually help us too. There are many services society has come up
with like, Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) uses science-based technology to
provide conservation planning and assistance to land owners and operators and others to benefit
the soil, water, air, plants, and animal for productive lands and healthy ecosystems. This article is
relevant to the research paper because society is making an effort to protect and restore the
environment and endangered species.

This research article is about endangered species and what we are doing to help, like,
reducing threats to wildlife such as loss of habitat, contamination of water and spread of invasive
species. Also, protecting and restoring the habitats, and encouraging wildlife friendly land
management practices. Global warming can also be a big side-affect to endangered species.
Every state has a Wildlife Action Plan, which acts and guides for conservation, so experts know
what species are at risk in each state. This article is relevant to the research paper because it
explains all of the major endangered species acts and what they are doing to help. Also, it
explains news about endangered species, what type of species, how everything works, and much
more.
