BIOGRAPHY
Vinita Munnuswamy is a college going student studying business fundamentals and
is working towards becoming a Business Analyst. She has graduated in Bachelors in
Business administration and completed her diploma in International Business
Management. She has a firm understanding towards the administration part in a
organization. Her positive attitude and firm decision making can help her overcome
problems and come up with the best solutions. Her hard work and dedication
towards her work will help contributing in the organizations growth and
development.
She has worked with a Realtors Real Estate Firm as a Sales executive for two years
and her work has been appreciated. Vinita has been dedicated and hard working
when trying to achieve her goals. Vinita finds the positive and works around the
obstacles to achieve her dreams. Vinita hopes one day to be a certified Business
Analyst and achieve her goals.
She aims at achieving her dreams and wants to be big one day. She believes in

This is an assignment, which I wrote for Professional Communication in Fanshawe
College.
Subject: Importance of accurate and effective communication
Dear Professor Townsend,
In response to your request of outlining four reasons of effective communication
in the workplace, the following according to me are:

Forming interpersonal relations: Effective communication helps in building


relationships with employees and customers. If an effective communication
system has one or more bad sectors, it can cause rifts in the business operation.

Motivating employees: Effective communication helps in motivating the


employees working in an organization. Thus, enables the employees to reach their
goals and solve various kinds of problems within the workplace. It will even
increase employees morale.

Expressing views at the workplace: While working in an organization it is more


likely to be in the position where making decisions would be important. Efficient
communication enables a person to express views successfully to customers or
colleagues.

Innovation and creativity: Efficient communication encourages innovation


within the work environment. More individuals will be encouraged to share their
ideas and views. Furthermore, these ideas will help the employees working in an
organization.

To summarize, effective communication has a large impact on the success of an


organization. Hence, forming interpersonal relations, motivating employees, expressing
views clearly, and introducing the idea of innovation and creativity plays a vital role in a
business success.

Berthe Poirreau was born in Prague which is in Czech Republic and studied as an
Aeronautical engineer in Germany and France. She worked for Aero-Nova for
thirteen years in the two divisions of Germany and France and a great level of
project responsibility. Her two projects from the past three years in Hungary and
Czech Republic achieved incredible success. Berthe is married to a man who is
semi retired and has a child studying in the university. Berthe can be appointed
for the job designated due to her work experience of working in the organization
for 13 years hence she is well acquainted with the objectives of the organization.
Advantages

Berthes past experience has helped her to develop soft skills like working in
team, better communication and being aware about the commercials.
Since she has worked with the organization for thirteen years she has complete
knowledge about the organization and is well acquainted with the organizational
goals and objectives.
She has incredible success from the past and has managed to get great level of
responsibility of project responsibility.

Disadvantages
Experience in a different field can sometime not be helpful for the job posting of
designated field.
Candidate with lot of experience do not stick to one job particularly, hence can
affect the performance of the organization.
The employee cost increases if the candidate has a huge past experience.
Over qualified for the project.

Tomasz Nowak was educated from university in Poland with an excellent


technical background in cathode ray tube and display system and his family were
connected with national government official in Poland. For nearly four years, he
was working in Aero-Nova in Paris and was transferred to Senior Engineer. This
can ensure the assertiveness, job related knowledge, reliability and potential of

each candidate. For example achievement tests, personality tests, job stimulations
etc. The advantages and disadvantages are:
Advantages:
Having past experience helps the employee to develop soft skills like working in
team, better communication and being aware about the commercials.
As the native place of Tomasz Nowak is Poland and also his family reside there, this
will make it easier for him to manage everything without being far away from family.
Being bachelor will be useful as he will focus more on his work and will give more
time to his work.
Disadvantage:
As being a bachelor might distract his mind towards other things which may
eventually affect the work.
Few years of experience as compared to other candidates as the experience this makes
the candidate more eligible for the job.
Social problem, which can also affect the work and the performance.

Eleanor McLeish a production Engineer works with Aero-Nova in London who has spent
three years on the research and development team in London and Dublin working on the
technologies to be used in the polish joint venture project. She has great understanding of
corporate level problems as well as strategic issues. She is married to a lawyer and has
three kids.
Advantages
Has great knowledge about the corporate level and tactical issues.
Since she has worked with Aero-Nova as a production engineer for three years
she has knowledge about the objectives of the organization.
Has already worked with a joint venture and has experience in technical and legal
grounds.

Disadvantages
As there is a lot of travelling involved in this job, it would not be suitable for
Eleanor as she has a family to be taken care of.

Has not been working with the organization for long hence can make wrong
decisions, which can affect the organizations reputation.
Might take a longer period of time to make decision due to less work experience,
which can eventually lead to delays in the completion of the project.

Do you think there is value in examining and studying emotional


intelligence?
Yes, there is value in examining and studying emotional intelligence as it has the
ability to monitor ones and the other persons emotions. Emotional Intelligence
focuses on a persons ability to process emotions and use it to socialize. Hence
emotional intelligence has great value.

Based on the skills we discussed, what do you think is your area of strength
and what do you think is your area of weakness? Explain.
Relationship management is my strength as I can develop and maintain good
relationships, work well in a team and manage conflicts.
Self-awareness is my area of weakness as I sometimes cannot understand my
own emotions and how they affect my thoughts and behavior. Hence this my are
of weakness in emotional intelligence.
