Warm-Up (5 mins)
Dynamic Movement: High Knees, Tail Kicks, A-Skips, Side Shuffle Both
Directions, Kareoke Both Directions, High Kicks, Duck Walks, Speed Build Up
50 90 40% of full speed.
Upper and Lower body workout days should alternate each day to give the body
time to rest and recover from the previous workout the day before.
EX. Mon-Upper, Tues-Lower, Wed-Upper, ect.
Form and Technique Testing
Students will be videotaped using an iPad in slow motion while performing the lift,
bench press.
Looking to make sure students are moving the weight under control, through a
full range of motion (arms fully extended, bend arms till bar touches chest,
extend arms back to the starting position of the lift). Also looking to make sure
that the students back stays flat along the bench and their legs/feet continue to
give a good base.
Once filmed, show the students the video and ask them what they believe they
are doing wrong or what they are doing right.
Once given their opinion, replay the video and give your feedback. While giving
feedback, iPad features such as drawing angles and pausing at important
moments should be used to give students instant visual aids in their learning
experience.
