TITLE : HAIRDRYER

HISTORY (1920)
Operated vacuum + electric toaster
Vacuum - concept of sip soda
through a straw
It uses an electric fan to blow air
across a heating coil; as the air passes
through the dryer it heats up. A small
motor is needed to operate the fan.
The two main parts are a heating
source and to blow the heated
air.Coiled metal wire - nickel and
chromium alloy.

CURRENT (FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS)

Energy in = Energy out + waste (heat
loss through the walls of hairdryer)
FUTURE DESIGN

1.

Calculate the amount of power required for

the heating

2.

Developed temperature cutoff switches

3.

Ceramic coils are used instead of copper

coils which heat up quickly and evenly.
