Relationships

Having positive child adult relationships


can help with children becoming good
community members. Positive
interactions with children can help them
feel valuable which can help enhance
learning.

Curriculum
The program has set goals for its curriculum
that help children learn and develop in 5
different areas social, emotional, physical,
language, and cognitive. The curriculum
guides the teacher's daily schedules by using
time effectively, materials and creatively that
is used as well as gives the children freedom
to learn individually and in groups depending
on their developmental needs and interests.

Teaching
To enhance each child's learning and development the
program uses developmentally, culturally, and
linguistically appropriate and effective learning
approaches. There are a couple of strategies used
structured to unstructured and adult directed to child
directed. For the best outcome the program uses a variety
of effective instructional approaches. Teamwork
throughout the entire staff is very important to support
children's positive learning and development across all
areas.

Assessment to Child Progress


Assessments are ongoing
whether it be informal, formal or
systematic. Results from these
assessments help with the
programs improvement, learning,
and informing the program about
the children's development.

Health
"The program promotes the nutrition and
health of children and protect children
and staff from illness and injury." Children
need to be as healthy as possible to
benefit from education. They need adults
to make healthy choices for them and be
good role models so they can make
healthy choices for themselves in the
future.

Teachers
The program has a teaching staff that is
educated, knowledgeable, and committed
to promote children's learning and
development and support their families
needs. Educated teachers are more likely to
have high quality learning environments.
The Programs teachers participate in
ongoing education throughout the
program.

Families
To ensure children's development
in all settings the program
maintains a collaborative
relationship with all families
involved with the program. Young
children's learning and
development is directly correlated
with their family relationships.

Community
Relationships
Involvement with the community
the children live in can help
support the program's goals. The
program furthers children's
healthy development and learning
by helping to connect families
with needed resources.

Physical Environment
The program maintains a safe and
healthful indoor and outdoor physical
environment. The program insurance
learning, comfort, health, and safety to
those who use it by having a well
organized, equipped, and maintained
environment.

Leadership & Management

The program ensures all children, family, and staff will have a high quality
experience by effectively implementing policies, procedures, and systems that
support stable staff and strong personal, physical, and program management.
Effective leadership and management create the environment for high
quality care and education by
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines;
promoting fiscal soundness, program accountability, effective
communication, helpful
consultative services, positive community relations, and comfortable and
supportive
workplaces;
maintaining stable staff; and
instituting ongoing program planning and career development opportunities
for staff as well
as continuous program improvement."
