OR UNTO us a Child is BoRN- UNTO US A Son is Given- Dear Family & Friends, ‘We thank, God for the opportunity and privilege to serve as Mission Service Corps Missionaries with the Adult Volunteer Mobilization Team at the North American Mission Board. Our first year has been very exciting and we are learning to walk by faith; trusting Him each step of the way. We have faced some challenges but God has supplied all of our needs and restored us to health. We have been immensely blessed this year and thank God for those who have supported this ministry through prayer and financial support. ‘This year God has allowed us the opportunity to share our vision with over 1,700 Christian volunteers serving with Baptist Builders, Campers On Mission, Disaster Relief or Families On Mission. We believe that it is every Christian’s responsibility and’ privilege to share Christ as we serve. We have been invited to teach evangelism at all five disaster relief training events in NC for 2008. We just returned from visiting Disaster Relief/Baptist Builder Directors in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and are excited about new opportunities to assist them with evangelism training. We look forward to opportunities to encourage, equip and challenge volunteers to be intentional in sharing their faith as they serve in the coming year. Ass we prepare to celebrate the birth of the Savior, we thought it would be appropriate to dedicate this month's news letter to “Jesus”, since He is the reason we do what we do. There is no other gift in the world as precious as the one that was given to us by God. When we fix our eyes on Jesus and the message He gave, “I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill” (Matt 5:17), “I did not come to judge the world but to save the world” (Jolin 46:46-48), we fave fope. ‘The following insert comes from a letter we received. We hope it will stir your hearts as it id ours and helps all of us to embrace the true miracle of Cliristmas. “Fix our eyes on Jesus as He taught His Father's truth, healed the sick, restored sight to the blind and raised the dead; and in so doing these things, demonstrated that He had the power to reverse the effects of sin. Fix our eyes on Jesus as from the cross with His last breath He spoke these triumphant words: “It is finished” (John 19:30 He was speaking of His work, of redemption for which purpose He had come into the world. Fix our eyes on Jesus on the third day following His crucifixion and burial and see the empty tomb and know that Jesus defeated Satan, light defeated darkness and life defeated death. Fix our eyes on Jesus and see Him as He ascended from the Mount of Ofives to Heaven, there to be enthroned at the right hand of His Father as our great High Priest, our advocate and intercessor. Fix our eyes on Jesus; He alone is the solid Rock. in a world that is crumbling. One day every nee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father. Because that is the great reality of history, we can face the future with absolute confidence that, in the end, wrong will fail and right will prevail There will be peace on earth!” $0 dear friends, as we move through this Christmas season, fix your eyes on Jesus, born in a lowly stable in Bethlehem and know that His is the virgin-born Son of God. Celebrate the Girth of “little Jesus meek and mild,” the King of the universe and remember if we look, through the lens of the life of Jesus, there is no need for despair as we will not be disappointed at history's end. Merry Christmas to all. and to all a good night! Randy § Ronda Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace. “Those wishing to donate to this ministry can make checks payable to the North American Mission Board and mail to: NAMB- MSC, PO Box 116543, Atianta, GA 30368-6543, Please include our account number (8922) and our last name (Com) in the ‘memo section of your check.
