Break!

It was wonderful to have the

opportunity for our staff to sit down
with you this week at Parent Teacher
Conferences. Our goal in
communicating with you through
progress reports, report cards and
conferences is to share specific
information on how your child is
progressing in all facets of their school
experience. We know that each student
in our school is an individual with his/
her own learning style and pace. Our
goal as a staff is to provide each student
with daily differentiated instruction to
meet each of our student's needs. In
addition to targeted teacher instruction,
one way that our staff is able to meet
these individual needs is through
targeted instruction by paraprofessional
support in the classroom as well as
additional technologymade possible
through federal,Title 1,funding.
If you have additional questions after
attending your child's conference or if
for some reason you were unable to
attend your childs conference, please
call our office at 669-1970 to
reschedule a time to meet.

Thank you for your

support last week with our
parade to The Laurels! It
was wonderful to see so
many parents out
supporting our students!
Students had a great time
"being the ONE" to bring
joy the residents.

Thank you for your partnership with us

in providing your child with a
wonderful education,

Brian Field

Music Notes:
Park's Holiday Program
Park's Holiday Program will be on
Tuesday, December 16th at
Fellowship Reformed Church. The
church is located at 6610 36th Ave,
Hudsonville. We will have two
programs this year, with the
Kindergarten, first and second
grades performing at 6:30PM and
the third, fourth, and fifth grades
performing at 7:30PM.
The students have been working
very hard to prepare for the
program. Many students have
auditioned for special parts, and I
frequently hear the songs being
sung in the hallways and on the
playground. The main skill the
students are working on while
preparing for the program is their
singing voice development. While
many people think singing is a
"talent" and that some people can
sing while others cannot, research
has shown that everyone is capable
of singing, and singing well. The
earlier a child learns to use his or
her singing voice, the easier
singing becomes to them.
Please encourage your children to
sing at home, and sing along with
them! It can have a strong impact
on their singing voice
development, whether they are
singing with someone who is still
looking for their singing voice, or
someone who is an opera star!
I am looking forward to December
16th!

Remember Boots, Hats, Mittens and Snow pants!

Cold weather and snow are coming! Your child is outside in the morning, and two recess periods. Please remember to send
them with proper attire. If your child does not come with boots and snow pants they must stay on the blacktop the entire
recess to stay dry. Also, please label everything! The lost and found bucket grows considerably over the winter with
unclaimed / unlabeled items.

Thank you to all those

who participated in the Box Top
contest. Mrs. Haagsmas class won by
bringing in over 1,400 Box Tops!
