Reflection:
Students did a good job learning the more difficult skill of latitude and longitude. As the day went on I
figured out what to include in my explanation and what got through to the kids best when trying to
explain the steps of finding a lat/long coordinate on a map.
The toughest part to explain was why Lat is labeled with NS when it runs EW and vice versa, but once
they started working on their own I think it became a lot clearer to them.
The students really enjoyed coming up and finding coordinates on the pull down map
Timing went well and few kids had homework from the lat long work sheet in packets.
Also kids LOVED the youtube video.
