About the Band

5 Seconds of Summer also known as 5 SOS is a wellknown pop rock Australian Band. The band
includes, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum
Hood and Ashton Irwin. Luke, Michael and Calum
started posting popular songs on you tube. A few
years later Ashton joined and they formed a band 5
Seconds of Summer. 5 Seconds of summer were so
popular on YouTube that 1 Direction invited them
to on their tour. After that tour they rose to
international fame they released a song She Looks
So Perfect, this song topped the charts in Australia,
New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Band Members
Luke Robert Hemmings was born in Sydney on the 16th July 1996 (age 18) and he went to
Norwest Christian Collage. Luke is the lead singer in the band and also plays the guitar.
Michael Gordon Clifford was born in Sydney on the 20th November 1995 (age 18) and he
went to Norwest Christian Collage. Michael sings and plays the guitar.
Calum Thomas Hood was born in Sydney on the 25 January 1996 (age 18) he went to
Norwest Christian Collage. Calum plays the bass guitar and also sings.
Ashton Fletcher Irwin was born on the 7th July 1994 (age 20) he went to Richmond High
School. Before Ashton joined 5 Seconds of Summer he was in another band called Swallow
the Goldfish saw the songs that Luke, Michael and Calum posted on YouTube he thought
that they were really bad, later on that year he joined the band as a drummer and singer.
Albums and Songs
5 Seconds of Summer realised their first album on the 22nd of July 2014 with 14000- 16000
copies sold. On the 5th July 2014 they released the song Amnesia topping the charts in
Australia and getting 35,739,277 views on YouTube. 5 Seconds of Summer also released two
other songs Dont Stop and Good Girls that topped the charts having 29,389,357 views on
YouTube. 5 Seconds of Summer are preforming in concert February 2015.
