Comprehension Development Class And Transition Coordinator
Developed and executed Individualized Education Program (IEP) for students who qualified for special
education services. Analyzed data to determine appropriate goals for students. Determined if students
met criteria for alternative state assessments and planned program that met assessments. Communicated
with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders of students' goals, progress, and future plans. Supervised
assistants in classroom to ensure maximum production and in compliance with federal, state, and local
laws. Drafted proposed goals and agenda for IEP team members to discuss and collaborate. Lead IEP
team in decision-making of student's annual IEP. Assist students in completing transition coursework
and opportunities of Work-Based Learning in community. Developed behavior plans for students with
input from regular education staff, administrators, parents, and students with achievable goals and
desirable rewards. Coordinated Special Olympics activities, practice, and trips for students. Arranged
field trips for students to enhance their community awareness.
