The students start the Block out by writing the objective (Math & Science). The students
are asked to take out their homework the teacher goes over the homework together with
the class (one by one). Ask questions like Who can tell me what the equivalent fraction
is?, What else?, What is the answer?, and What is the fraction?. After each

then Raise your hand if you got it wrong?.

Equivalent fractions written on a poster on the wall. Ask the students who sees itwait
for them to raise their hands and point out a student and have them answer the question.

Have the students draw equivalent fraction bar (60) for finding of 60.

Give the kids shine (a hand signal used instead of clapping to encourage the kids) if
they volunteer to answer and get it correct.

Write value for each fraction (15, 15, 15, 15) circle 3/4th in the fraction table. Ask for the
value of the 3.

Put away Homework.

30 seconds to estimate the answer by making a mind movie. Write down after 30 secs
of mentally thinking about it. Ask the students about what they thought & asked the
student (20x50). Ask for different strategies the students couldnt use.

Present another example using a wild card (one of the digits will be a surprise digit,
