Miscellaneous Achievements:
Re-established a journalism education program of study at Evangel with assistance from the
Education Department and in cooperation with the Humanities Department. Referred to as the
Communication Arts Education major. Effective 2013.
Developed program of study in political communication in cooperation with the Social Science
Department. This major is currently a track under Communication Studies. Effective 2012.
Developed curriculum and program of study for film and digital arts programs. Effective 2010.
These programs were an outgrowth of the electronic media program of study established in 2002.
Developed curriculum structure for Advertising and Public Relations program of study effective
in 2000. This was done in consultation with communication faculty colleagues.
Developed and established new student medium ECTV Pictures currently called EU Films
from the Film Workshop. This student organization became independent of ECTV in 2009 with
its own budget.
Developed and established new student medium Crusadermedia.com student website
featuring content of all other student media.
Re-structured Evangel College Television now called Evangel University Television in 1993
into a student media organization with its own budget. Established new student television
program Strobelight in 1992.
