    Thankful for Fall Colors

    Ivebeenreallythankfulthisyearforthechangingcolorsonthetrees.Backwhentheweather
    waswarmer,itwasreallyfuntobeoutsidesurroundedbysomanyshadesoforangeandred.
    Theweekwhenweweremovingtoournewhouse,myniece,Allyson,andIwereinspiredto
    walkaroundalittlebittotakeapictureofthechangingcolorsonthetree.Thiswasarare
    opportunityformetoseeheratworkbehindthecamera,anditwasgoodtotakeadvantageof
    ourcommoninterestinphotography.
    Therewasatreeafewfeetfromourdoorwhichstayedavibrantredforthelongesttime.Lately,
    whenIglancedatitIrealizedthatthebrancheswerealmostcompletelybare.Itwasalittlesad
    thattheleaveshadfallenoffandIwouldnthavesomethingsoprettytoenjoyanymore.But,itis
    reassuringthattheleaveswillgrowbacknextyear,andwewouldhavethesameviewagainin
    theFall.
    Mymomwastalkingtomerecentlyaboutneedingtobuyacartoreplacehervan.Shetoldme
    thatshecantbelieveshehasownedthevanfor17years,butthatthisdidntsoundlikesucha
    longtime.Ipointedoutthatintheseventeenyears,Ivegraduatedcollege,gottenmarried,
    movedfivetimes,workedatsixdifferentjobs,andhadthreekids.Seventeenyearsago,my
    Grandfatherwasaliveandahealthier.Mydadstillhadbothlegs.
    Ofcourse,IamalsoadifferentpersonthanIwasbackthen.IwanttosaythatIveimprovedwith
    thehelpofmanagers,mywife,andevenmykids.But,theresalsoroomforimprovement,soId
    sayitsprematuretosayanything.
    ImthankfulthattheFallcolorsareareminderthatchangeisinevitable,butsometimeschanges
    domakeusbetter.
