Islamic History Month wrap-up:

Amazing Models, Well Done Grade 7!








Important Update for the Uniform program.
This is to inform IFS parents/guardians that we have introduced a "Uniform Recycle
Program" to IFS. The main purpose of this program is to have everyone adhere to the
school uniform policy.
This is how the program works: we collect gently used uniforms that children have
outgrown instead of throwing them out and we recycle them to parents who need them.
We encourage everyone to please contribute their gently used uniforms.
This program is free of charge. We have a wide selection at the moment.

Class work
Language: This month students are focusing on
Newspaper writing. We will evaluate, analyze and
create our own stories. Students will also be
consistently focusing on grammar and punctuation.
Math: Students have completed geometry and measurement (Unit 3). Students
will begin learning about fractions in Unit 4. Students will have hands on
materials to help them compare and order fractions.
Science: Students have completed their unit on interactions in the
environment. Students will begin their new unit on pure substances and
mixtures. Students will learn to conduct experiments, and use the scientific
method in their labs.

Geography: Students will be focusing on natural disasters and how our natural
environments affect human settlements.




Islamic Studies: Students will be focusing on the life of the Prophet (saw) and
Respecting our Elders.
