Nature of Problem
Strengthening to the RC slabs and beams was
required due to change in floor loading.
Additional load from the compactor unit was
to be imposed.
The Solution
The slabs and beams were strengthened using externally bonded Carbon ibre
Reinforced Polymer !CRP" #aminate to increase the bending moment capacity
and Carbon ibre Reinforced Polymer !CRP" wrap to increase the shear capacity.
