Our Story Meet Sara
Cocomama was born on the principle that people deserve healthy
food that actually tastes good and ds not demand hours in the
kitchen. In 2008, Founder Sara Gragnolati was diagnosed with
food allergies. A natural foods industry veteran, Sara was shocked
to discover that most gluten and allergy-free foods were made
from less-than-stellar grains, such as white rice, corn, tapioca and
corn ours. And, while there were many cookies and baking mix-
es, there were few quick & healthy gluten-free meal options.
Cue the tiny powerhouse quinoa. Sara discovered the amazing
versatility of ancient grains and set out on a mission to bring
wholesome and safe foods to the market. Cocomama currently of-
fers two product lines: Quinoa Cereal, a ready-to-eat hot cereal,
and Crunched Out snackable clusters. Cocomama is currently
sold online, and in natural grocery stores, such as, Whole
Foods,Wegmans and Earth Fare.
Sara Gragnolati is a 14-year veteran of the natural product indus-
try, with an established expertise in organic, health, sustainability
and consumer trends. With her roots in marketing, she found a
love for brands and a passion for food. In 2006, Sara co-founded
Kiwi Magazine where she sat as editorial director until 2009. It
was at that point when Saras new-found food allergy led her to
pursue the urge to launch a nutritious food brand based on an-
cient grains (yes, quinoa can inspire someone that much).
Her rst stop on the journey was Babsons MBA program. Sara
graduated magna cum laude and placed rst, with Cocomama, in
Babsons 2010 Graduate Business Plan Competition ($20k win-
nings). Shes now an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the school.
Additionally, in 2011, Sara became a $50k Gold Medal Winner in
the MassChallenge competition.

Today, besides working fervently on Cocomama, Sara still gets
creative in the kitchen, planning new product lines and
generating simple & wholesome recipes.
In 2011, Cocomama woke up the breakfast aisle with its in-
novative Quinoa Cereal, the rst ready-to-eat hot cereal on
the market. Cooked in small batches, the cereal requires no
additional ingredients and is packaged in single-serve, por-
table pouches.

We offer four avors that are full of the good stuff (like or-
ganic quinoa and pure maple syrup): Banana Cinnamon,
Wild Blueberry, Orange Cranberry, and Honey Almond.

Our innovative BPA-free pouches make it easy for you to en-
joy a wholesome meal wherever life takes you. With no prepa-
ration needed, all of Cocomamas Quinoa Cereals are fully
cooked and can be consumed warm or cold. Weve done all of
the work. So, simply open the pouch (heat if preferred),
stir & enjoy as a snack or meal.
Granola just got a makeover and its cereal-sly something to
talk about! Crunched Out is a snackable cereal packed with
all of the seven ancient grains.
Available in Vanilla Cinammon and Fudgy Chocolate,
Crunched Out will leave you satised and energized to
crunch out the days duties.
These clusters add just the right amount of crunch to keep
things exciting. Whether its perfecting your yogurt parfait,
or simply straight out of the bag, they never fail to satisfy
your cravings. Because we believe a granola should have
enough substance to hold its own when the milk runs out.

While some are truly grains, others, such as quinoa, are ac-
tually seeds. These supergrains come in their whole form,

Quinoa is one tough grain! Its a 5000-year-old an-
cient grain that grows at 11,000 ft. above sea level
in the Andes mountain.
Unlike its beet and spinach relatives, which are
harvested for their roots and leaves respective-
ly, the quinoa plant is actually harvested for its
seeds. So while frequently refrered to as a grain,
quinoa is technically a seed.
Qunioa contains all nine essential amino acids,
making it a complete protein.
It has a prole unmatched by traditional grains
and seeds: naturally gluten free and full of iron,
ber, copper, magnesium and several other major
nutrients.
It is black and white, and red all over!
Quinoa comes in a variety of colors, revealing that
it truly is beautiful inside and out.
Versatile in avor and texture, quinoa can be used
in both savory and sweet dishes (ahem, like our
lightly sweetened cereals).
Enjoy while youre stuck in trafc or scaling mountains,

goji berries and serve over vanilla ice cream
