The Effect of Tobacco
All around the world, people are surrounded by temptation. The most common
temptation that mostly all teenagers receive is to smoke. Although smoking has killed many
people the Indonesian governments can not do anything, because if they close the factory a
lot of workers will lose their job. Beside that one of Indonesian most income is from the
cigarette factories so that Government wont let this chance of income closed.
Some people aware of the dangerous effects of smoking. There are tons of negative
effects. One of the worse effects is to basically get a cancer. However during the process of
lung cancer, the smoker would also receive many other effects such as getting carbon
monoxide or can be also said that smoking reduces the oxygen in our bodies. With that, it
would give a huge impact on our lives. We cant do sport nor we also cant do much things
because of the lack of oxygen. Another dangerous effect that people would get is high blood
pressure. High blood pressure could lead the smoker into getting stroke. The sickness could
also lead to high fever and makes our brain dizzy. However stroke would be the one I would
like to emphasize. Because if we get stroke, theres nothing we could do. The last effect I
would like to emphasize is also getting rotten teeth. So as a conclusion, there are lots of
dangerous effect if we smoke and all of the effect could shorten the age limit of the smoker.
Cigarettes is created to make your body warmer and calmer just like hot drinks,
beside that there are some positive effects of smoking. One of them is that it lowers the risk
of the Parkinsons disease. Parkinsons disease is a disorder located precisely in the brain that
includes tremor, difficulty of moving, and coordination. The reason why smoking reduces the

risk is still unidentified which makes one more problem to be solved for the scientists of the
current time. As said in one website,Ever having smoked cigarettes was associated with a
reduced risk of PD... A stronger relation was found among current smokers ... there was an
inverse gradient with pack-years smoked (trend p < 0.001),(Parkinson's Disease Risks
Associated with Cigarette Smoking, Alcohol Consumption, and Caffeine Intake). But dont
start smoking cigarette, because you could die first before you even get diagnosed with the
Parkinsons disease, besides all of the doctors and scientists do not recommend people to start
smoking just to decrease the risk of the Parkinsons disease, because other than smoking, one
can drink two or more cups of tea per day to decrease the risk of the Parkinsons disease.
Based on our interview we took, smoking is just to gain popularity and following their
friends. During the interview, he said the reason he stopped smoking is because he realized
that smoking would just damage his body. He realized that smoking was just a matter of style
and to not get left behind. The decision to stop smoking is on the smokers hand. To stop,
they have to understand the negative effect of smoking and then they can search for a habit
that make them busy so they will not smoke. To make it easier, they have to socialize with
the right friends and they can ask help from somebody else such as doctor, family, trustable
friends, etc. The most important thing for them is always belive in God and He will help them
get through all of it.
After doing all the research and receiving much facts about smoking from our
interview, our group could learn that basically smoking is dangerous. The most dangerous is
cancer. However, we also learned that smoking could makes our mind and body calm and
relaxed since cigarette is actually made to keep our body from having too much stress. We
also learn that smoking is basically our decision to be decided.
