Initiated and coordinated multiple bottle drives that partnered Romeo High baseball players, student leaders,
Romeo Key Club, Kiwanis, and Farmer Jack Supermarkets. These bottle drives generated thousands of dollars
that were donated to the MISD Education Project for Homeless Youth

2008-2010 Romeo Community Schools, Summer School Supervisor
Assisted in overall site operations of a three building, K-12 summer school program which
included elementary reading enhancement, bilingual program, middle school MISD bridges to
algebra, middle school language arts support and high school credit recovery
Worked with building administrators, curriculum and transportation departments to
improve student pick up and drop off times
Prepared reports for the counseling department, central office and the MISD
Communicated with parents and staff to improve student behavior and attendance

2003-Present Romeo Community Schools, High School Social Studies Teacher
Part of a team that designed and implemented the Alternative Pathways Program in 2012. This
program features dynamic academic, social and attendance interventions that target students
"at risk" of graduating. Program has 77% student success rate in first two years
Facilitator of 3 MLK professional staff development breakout sessions
Have spoken and presented at 3 school board meetings including a 15 minute Alternative
pathways report that was tape delayed broadcast on WJBR channel 6

2000-2003 Memphis Community Schools, High Social Studies, Elementary Physical Education Teacher
Recognized as High School teacher of the year and became a regional finalist for the Michigan
Department of Education teacher of the year award as a result of teaching an Advance Placement
U.S. History course that utilized two-way live video conferencing system which allowed
simultaneous instruction to students at two separate High Schools
Motivated students in current events class to produce a weekly student newspaper that was based
on social studies standards

In the summer of 2011 was part of a committee made up of central office and building

2008-2010 St. Isidore Knights of Columbus, Grand Knight
On behalf of the council, received the Michigan Youth Project Award at the 2009
annual state conference at Mackinac Island. Award was based on our council's efforts in
partnering with former Detroit Tiger Sean Casey, The Deroit Tigers Foundation, Meijer's, and
Wright and Fillipas to raise funds for Clinton Township Little League Challenger Division
baseball field
Chief executive officer of 320 member council, one of the largest in the state
Coordinated council audits and oversaw council accounts payable and receivables
Represented council at community special events
Current Web designer and webmaster
Distributed tens of thousands of dollars of raised funds to community charities and
organizations

MARKETI NG

1996-1998 Palace Sports and Entertainment, Account Representative
Acted as a liaison between ABC affiliate WJRT TV-12, Big Brothers-Big Sisters and the Palace
in the filming of a weekly segment which showcased a youth in the Flint area that was in need of
a mentor. Also was a guest on a community spotlight program and appeared in television
commercials as myself and as a mascot.
Sold sponsorships, individual game, season and group ticket packages for the Detroit
Pistons, Detroit Vipers, Detroit Neon, Concerts and other special events
Organized and attended community and school appearances with professional athletes
Assisted in game operations and media relations for the Detroit Vipers Hockey team

GOVERNMENT

2013 Macomb Township, I naugural Appointed Historical Commission Member
Assisted in the coordination of the first annual Vintage Baseball game at Macomb Corners.
Communicated with the offices of the Macomb County Executive, Sheriff, Prosecutor and
Commissioners who were playing in the game. Ordered uniforms, secured the major
financial sponsor and insured proper event promotion for that sponsor. Played in the game
alongside local political leaders and emceed the event
Designed website for the commission
Was interviewed and featured on "Spotlight Macomb" which was broadcast on Macomb
Township Government public access channel
Media liason

1995 United States Senate, Honorable Spencer Abraham, Staff intern
Was a direct assistant to the regional field office staff member whom served as a liaison
between constituents and the United States Postal Service and the Internal Revenue Service
Drafted correspondence on behalf of the Senator
