Mens Team Report


CUMBRIA V HERTFORDSHIRE 4th-5th October 2014

On Saturday the Ladies gave us a another good start by winning 4-2.
On first was Daniel Finch who won 3-0 started well had a 126 finish second leg, third leg not as
good but still won the match award.
On next was John Creed scored well but it was the end product that let him down lost 0-3.
Gary Webb followed by winning 3-0 third leg not as good as the first two.
Daniel Varney was next could not get his game going and lost 0-3.
Rob Walters made his debut went 2-1 in front then lost his way for a 2-3 defeat.
Daniel Wood won his second game of the season 3-1 played very well.
Paul Stern scored quite well before losing 1-3.
Harry Etherington was next losing 1-3
Mark Barrett returned to the team did well winning 3-2
John Blair had the best game played well against their match award winner before losing 1-3.
Wayne Dawson lost 0-3 another player who did not play up to his usual standard.
David Pinnuck being on last does not help losing 1-3

Ending with an 4-8 defeat for the Mens B team not a game for the purists.

On Sunday the Ladies lost 2-4 putting us further behind
First on in the Mens was Chris Hudson gave us a great start with a 4-2 win
Mark Elliot played and scored well but could not hold his match award winning opponent
losing 2-4.
Lee Searles started with a 115 finish in the first leg kept the momentum going for a 4-3 win.
Adam Pinnuck was next having a brilliant game including a 128 finish an 11 dart leg and a 4-0
win, great game Adam.
Lee White started well 2-0 in front but did not keep this going ended up losing 2-4.
Tony Hammond followed playing well and leading 3-1 his concentration seemed to go letting
his opponent off the hook losing the last three legs for a 3-4 defeat.
Robin Wigg turned in his usual game for a great 4-1 win.
Up stepped Jason Neville who was very impressive in his excellent match award winning 4-2
result, well played Jason.
Martin Kingsley was next played well needed that little bit extra before losing 2-4.
Andreas Hajimina scored really well needed the end product when your against the throw.
Tony Cox had one of those games tried so hard but ended up losing 0-4.
Ian Clarkson was up to the oche so fast the dust did not have time to settle looked like he
wanted to get home as he quickly went 3-0 in front, half hour later he was still there trying to get the
winning leg which did in the sixth leg for a 4-2 win and giving the team a well deserved draw, well done
Ian.

Ended with a 6-6 draw for the Mens A Team after a good performance which deserved so
much more.
