ProjectDescription

Everydayweareexposedtodifferentindividuals,perspectives,anddifferentwalksoflife.We
havenoticedthatHighTechMiddleNorthCountyhasaverydiversestudentbody,andwerarely
haveopportunitiestocelebrateourculturaldiversity.Inthisproject,studentswillbecreatinga
culturalcookbookthatwillincludevariousrecipesthataresignificanttotheirbackground.Also,
studentswillbetakingtheserecipesandmodifyingthemtopromotebetterhealth,learninghow
toreadfoodlabelsandcalculateservingsizes.Studentswillalsolearnhowtomaintaintheir
ownorganicgarden.Thiswillbringaboutsomesolutionstoanationwideproblemofunhealthy
eatingandmakingbetterchoiceswithfood.
