WEATHER AND CLIMATE

It is the amount of water vapor in the air.

Colder air holds less water vapor than warm
air, because warm air is less dense.

It is a measure of the actual amount of water
vapor in the air compared to the total amount
of vapor that can exist in the air at its current
temperature.

All rain is caused by rising air. The air warmed
at the earths surface rises and begins to cool
down.
When the temperature falls to DEW POINT
TEMPERATURE the water vapor condenses
and clouds are formed.
If enough water vapour condenses the rain
will occur.
