Irenes Chili con Carne

(Serves 3)

Ingredients:
1/8 kg ground beef
1 whole onion (minced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
3 tablespoons oil
2 whole tomatoes (sliced)
1 med. sized potato (cubed)
1 pinch basil
1 pinch oregano
teaspoon ground pepper
teaspoon salt
teaspoon chili oil
3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce

Procedure:
1. Saut the garlic and onion until brown.
2. Add in tomatoes and saut until tender.
3. Add in potatoes and saut for about 10 minutes or until tender.
4. Add in ground beef and stir for about 5 minutes.
5. Add in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and ketchup and stir for three minutes.
6. Add in the oregano, pepper, basil, and salt. Stir, cover and let simmer for 7-10 minutes.
7. Serve into individual serving bowls.
