Learning Theory & thoughts on PBL
Students have many opportunities to use PBL throughout the lesson
plan. Students work with their peers and stimulate conversation.
Students develop their own solutions to problems. Activities are
student led. Students debate ideas, designing plans, draw
conclusions, and communicate their ideas and findings to others.
The students are learning by doing.
Thoughts on Higher Order Thinking Skills
Students use Higher Order thinking
by participating in Brain Compatible
Strategies.
As students participate in activities
that are Brain Compatible, they are
more engaged. There are using their
higher order thinking skills when they
create the routine and solve
problems together.
