TE CHNI CAL S UP P ORT F NN 10027 I S S 01DE C10 EST2: Panel Normal with Active Supervisory Duct Detector Follow-up Introduction This bulletin is a follow-up to FNN 10017. Version 2.5 of the SLC firmware for EST2 systems is now available. This version of the firmware corrects the issue reported in the earlier bulletin. Issue EST2 systems will return to the normal state when you reset the system even though supervisory duct detectors remain active on the signaling line circuit (SLC). This issue only occurs in EST2 systems using MCM(N) version 3.2 firmware and SLC version 2.4 firmware, and only when smoke detectors are configured as Supervisory device types (the Supervisory Duct Detector check box is checked). This issue does not occur with smoke detectors configured as Alarm device types (the Supervisory Duct Detector check box is cleared) or with addressable SuperDuct detectors tested using remote test stations. Solution The solution is to install the new version 2.5 SLC firmware, which can be ordered from customer service. The part number for the SLC firmware is 190142. Note: 2-MCM(N) and 2-LCX with a date code of 10292 and later ship with SLC V2.5 firmware.
