Phonics:
The systematic process of teaching
sound-symbol relationships to
decode words.
Activity: Use clear bottles for bowling
pins and place index cards with words
on the bottle that will include a group of
words using the two vowel rule.
Example Spoon, moon, balloon, etc. Get a
small soft ball and have them play
bowling. They receive points when they
knock down the pins and correctly read
the word on the pin.
