Design Brief:
Your semester exam will be 90% Presentation and 10% Daily Journals
Portfolios are huge part of your learning process
- They document progress of skills - They track what you have accomplished - Also useful if moving to another place and you want to show off what you can do

1. If you have not already done so, please create a Portfolio folder inside your personal PUTNAM folder. If you already have, you will be using this folder again. - Save any images or video files into this folder

1. PowerPoint (Formal Style) which showcases what you have learned during Semester 1 - This is worth 90% of your Final Exam Grade - Images and videos are required so please make sure you include them in your presentation - Any assignment from the CANVAS site can be included in your presentation. 2. Shared Daily Journal which helps me understand your learning journey during the semester - This is worth 10% of your Final Exam Grade

1. Please use the rubric for more detailed guidance. 2. Intro Slide(s) - Identify your name & class - Appropriate image(s) related to your class 3. Sketches Slide(s) - Scan an image of your best and worst sketch from the semester - To help support your choice for (Best/worst) compare and contrast your sketches with the reference images from the Drawing Practice file. 4. Best/Worst Project Slide(s) - Showcase the project you feel was your best & worst - Use images to help the audience understand the project(s) - Be sure to share the reasons why they were your best & worst 5. Technical Skill Slide(s) - Each student must showcase a different technical skill related to the software - Be sure to include images as you describe a. How the skill is used b. Best practices when using the skill c. How you improved upon that skill over the course of semester 1 6. Course Material Slide(s) - Each student must showcase a different related to the content of the course (i.e. the reasons we are using the software) a. Examples include house design, storyboarding, lever calculations, etc. - Be sure to include how those topics were included in one (or more) of your projects. 7. Free Design Slide(s) - Showcase your Free Design work - Use images to help the audience understand what you created or tried to create. - Be sure to demonstrate how your skills improved through the Free Design work 8. 21 st Century Skill Slide(s) - Use the Pie Chart Template to create a profile of your 21 st Century Skills a. The one you are the best is rated as a 7 b. The one you need the most improvement in is rated as a 1 - Use supporting images to a. Identify which skill you improved upon the most and why you feel that you did b. Predict something specific you can do to improve upon the skill you rated yourself the lowest in. 9. Closing Slide(s) - Include a tip to future students on how they can be successful in the course - Ask for and be able to answer a. One question from the audience b. One question from Mr. Putnam

1. Images or Videos - Most programs can export to jpg files. - Most programs can also export as AVI files as well. - Remember, you can use the Smartboard recorder to capture moving images from your screen if you would like. - Show your finished work, or how you created certain things, etc. - If you have never used Windows Movie Maker before, watch the brief tutorial video located in the CADLAB\All Classes\READ\Useful Videos folder - If you use PowerPoint, please make sure you keep your videos in the same folder when you turn in your finished presentation; otherwise no one will be able to watch the videos - It is entirely possible that I could ask you to turn in your Cornell Notes with the rubric for some EC points.
