prepare for a wild ride. It is the beginning of the school year and God is at work.
This is our 9th year in campus ministry and watching God move never gets old. 1500 students lled out surveys and each of those students has a name and a story and I love meeting them and pointing them to Jesus.
I love watching Small Group Bible Studies begin, too. One student opened up at the rst small group about his struggle with same-sex attraction. Another student came to one, admitting to not being a Christian, but wanting to nd out more. We have a Small Group Bible Study in every dorm s, every athletic team, and almost every Greek house on campus at Missouri State University. Praise God!
Then we had our rst weekly meeting and 350 students attended. Last week, we had over 400the most students weve ever had!
One girl that I met in the dorms, Quila, a freshman, had tears running down her face as the worship band played because she was so happy to have found Jesus and his followers at college. Then, I consider the 3 students who have already become Christians this year through our sta sharing the Gospel with them, and Im so humbled that I get a front row seat to the power of God.
On the home front, God has been at work, too. As many of you know, we have been trying to have conceive a child for 2 years. A few weeks ago, we got a positive pregnancy testthe rst one in 2 years!
Then, we went in to the doctors to check my hormone levels and discovered we wouldnt be bringing home a baby like we had hoped. Our first weekly meeting with over 350 in attendance (top). Some student leaders (bottom left) praying for the semester. Also, Charlotte is growing up (bottom right)! SEPTEMBER 2014 JUSTIN AND KATE STRINGER 3119 E SUNSET ST. SPRINGFIELD, MO 65804 314.518.9494 Most likely, we had a chemical pregnancy. While we were deeply saddened, we have a peace in our hearts that we know can only come from Jesus. I realized that I cannot put my hope in fertility drugs, doctors, or anything other than Jesus. Nothing will satisfy like Christ can- not even another baby. Although I dont know His reasons, I believe in His character- and God is good. Continue to pray that we would put our ultimate hope, joy, and trust in Jesus.
