The Lord of the Rings is a film series consisting of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter
Jackson. They are based on the novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. They were distributed by
New Line Cinema. The three films together were nominated for a total of 30 Academy Awards, of
which they won 17
Principal photography for all three
films was conducted concurrently in
many locations within New Zealand's
conservation areas and national parks
between 11 October 1999, and 22
December 2000, a period of 438 days.

The film is about a peaceful hobbit,
who is content with living in a distant
corner of Middle-Earth, is given a
challenge: he must obliterate the Ring
of Power to prevent the forces of evil
from getting a hold of it. It's Frodo's
task in J.R.R Tolkien's famous novel The Lord of the Rings. When he inherits the Ring, he suddenly has
the fate of the world in his hand. The Ring has been forged by the Dark Lord Sauron and contains
terrible powers. Frodo is lead by the wise wizard Gandalf on a dangerous journey towards the land of
Mordor to unmake the ring.
The hobbits are small, but courageous creatures, and Frodo is accompanied by his three friends on the
journey over impassable mountains, roaring rivers and mystical worlds, and they are constantly
pursued by Sauron's Black Riders. In the end the ring is destroyed in the lava.
I strongly recommend The lord of the Rings .This movie is the best in the world; it has action, a good
plot and beautiful places; to conclude I think that if you have free time you should read the books.
