    To install Haploview on a Mac, first install the Java JDK by accepting the license agreement and downloading and installing the Mac OS X x64 version. Then download the "Haploview.jar" file and either open it directly or run it from the Terminal by changing the working directory to where it is located and using the "java -jar Haploview.jar" command. This should open the Haploview window.

    Haploview Installation Instructions (Mac)



    Install Java (JDK)
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-
    2133151.html

    (1) Click on the Accept License Agreement button to show the download links.
    (2) Download JDK for Mac OS X x64.
    (3) Go through the installation procedure.



    Download Haploview
    https://www.broadinstitute.org/scientific-community/science/programs/medical-and-
    population-genetics/haploview/downloads

    (1) Download Haploview. jar
    (2) Open the containing folder and click on the Haploview.jar
    (3) If that doesnt work, proceed to command line instructions (an error message may
    occur).

    Run Haploview from Terminal

    (1) Open a Terminal window. Terminal is located in Applications/Utilities/.
    (2) Change the working directory to the containing folder of Haploview using cd
    (change directory) command followed by the folder path:
    cd Desktop/
    (replace Desktop/ by the folder path in your computer)
    (3) Run the program with the command:
    java jar Haploview.jar



    (4) A Haploview window should open.
