All Classroom Teachers Support Staff Campus Volunteers Ascertain the extent of injuries and capabilities for class evacuation. Determine the need of assistance for neighboring teachers. Evacuate classroom using predetermined routes to specific station at EAA. Take roll and report class status to ICP. Supervise and reassure students throughout the duration of the emergency Ensures that students remain the EAA until released or directed to return to the classroom. Record and report to the ECC students who leave campus before being released. Inform all students that if an emergency occurs during snack or lunch, they are to report to their next class. Necessary roll call material and emergency attendance records. If students need medical attention, send name to ICP and student to First Aid area (Extreme cases only).

Return for injured. If bodies have no vital signs, leave them.
D. FIRST AID TEAM

Available for vehicle traffic. Control traffic onto campus. Master keys, posted signs, two-way radio.

After attendance is taken and search and rescue is complete, immediately begin the process of reuniting students with their parents or guardians by referring to program cards, class rosters, computer printouts or Emergency Release Authorization form. Escort students to reunion gate. Have parent/guardian sight out student as they are released. Ensure students are released only to those authorized by the Emergency Card. Clerical table on wheels or cart w/ emergency information, student schedules, health info. class roster, call slips, paper, pencils. Map of EAA stations, programs cards and record keeping material. INCIDENT COMMAND POST (ICP)
Personnel: Principal, Principals Secretary, Assistant Principal, Secretary, Assistant Principal
Responsibilities:
REMAIN CALM
1. Establish contact/communication with District Emergency Operation Center (Maintenance/Transportation)
2. Account for all students and staff as soon as possible.
3. Brief team leaders
4. Develop overall strategy with team leaders
- assess the situation - define problem - establish priorities - establish communication
5. Maintain accurate records received from other teams.
6. Organize and maintain all records received from other teams.
7. Prepare media release
Supplies:
- Staff roster - Site map - Radio - Am/fm radio with batteries - Bullhorn - Flashlight - Clipboard/clerical items (pen, pencil, paper clips, etc.)
ASSEMBLY AREA TEAM:
Personnel: All teachers, support staff, campus volunteers
Responsibilities:
1. Perform lifesavers
2. Escort your class (and Buddys class, if assigned) to the football field. (assembly area)
3. Have students sit, in the predesignated student assembly area.
4. Take roll (take roll for your Buddy, if assigned).
5. Your roll sheet will be used as the EMERGENCY ATTENDANCE REPORT.
- IF student is absent (no show to class) mark A - IF student is present (in class during attendance) BUT did not report to the assembly area, mark P. Note where student was last seen and/or sent.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Student is given hall pass to restroom, mark P next to students name and state sent to restroom.
- IF student is present (in class during attendance) AND the student reported to assembly area, leave a blank space next to their name.
6. Send your roll sheet to the Command Center.
7. Use responsible students as runners/messengers.
8. Remain in your assigned area, with your students.
9. Keep your group calm. Do not allow students to wander.
10. Use supplies in back pack for minor injuries.
11. Release students to the Parental Assistance Team when requested. (Update your attendance records)

TRIAGE

Responsibilities:

2. Escort your class (and Buddys class, if assigned) to the assembly area.
3. Have students sit in the predesignated student assembly area.
4. Take roll (take roll for you Buddy if assigned).
5. Your roll sheet will be used as the EMERGENCY ATTENDANCE REPORT.
- IF student is absent (no show to class) mark A - IF student is present (in class during attendance) BUT did not report to the assembly area, mark P. Note where student was last seen and or sent.

Use duct tape to label each victim - place tape across front/upper body, indicate: name (if known) immediate, delayed, or dead AHS, Lakewood and time *Treatment of injuries, begin with life-threatening conditions: - airway obstructions - control bleeding - prevent shock
*Use latex gloves for protection from body fluids
11. Release students to first aid (upon their request)
12. Keep log of all victims, status and location (ie: released to morgue, released to first aid) Distribution: Command Post and Parental Assistance.

FIRST AID TEAM

Responsibilities:

5. Your roll sheet will be used as the EMERGENCY ATTENDANCE REPORT.

10. Receive patients from triage.
11. Supervise the treatment of injured patients.
12. Supervise use and distribution of first aid supplies.
13. Maintain records of names (description and/or tag) and conditions of all first aid patients. (record on triplicate log sheet)
14. Send copy of log sheets to Command Center every 15 min. following initial disaster and every 30 minutes after the first hour.
15. Bring any special medications that have been stored for those with health problems to first aid center.

9. Set up two teams: a. Main Gate (clearly labeled with sign) b. Reunion Gate (clearly labeled with sign)
10.The requesting adult submits a Release Form to the staff member at the Main Gate.
11.Staff verifies that the requestors name is on the students emergency card (if the student does not have an emergency card, ask for ID)
12. Use the list from first aid or assembly area to route runner to the appropriate area.
13. Instruct requestor to proceed to the Reunion Gate.
14. The runner takes the form to the designated area:
- If the student is in the assembly area: Runner should report to Command Center Runner will be directed to the students location Staff will sign Release Form (update their attendance sheet) Runner will escort student to the Reunion Gate.
- If the student is in First Aid or Triage: Runner should report to first aid or triage supervisor Runner will be directed to students location Staff will sign Release Form (update their attendance sheet) Runner will escort student to the Reunion Gate.
15. Staff at the Reunion Gate will obtain requestors signature and release the student.
- If the student was marked absent, requestor will be notified. - If the student is missing, direct requestor to the Main Gate Counselor - If the student is deceased, direct requestor to the Main Gate Counselor
16. The completed Release Form will be sent to Command Center to update records.
17. Staff at Reunion Gate will keep their copy of Release Form and update Log Sheet.
Supplies:
- Sign Main Gate and sign Reunion Gate - Each should have a box containing:

SEARCH AND RESCUE
Personnel: Assigned staff members, SIAs
Responsibilities:
1. Perform lifesaver
2. Allow your Buddy to escort your class to the assembly area. Your Buddy should have a current copy of your class roster. (Give Buddy your red attendance folder).
3. Take your search and rescue bag and report immediately to Supervisor.
4. Supervisor will hand you a master key. Secure the key before leaving this post.
5. Disperse to your assigned area to begin search and rescue.
6. Check the conditions of the building before entering. Remember safety for yourself, team and then victims.
7. Each team consists of: a. Group Supervisor b. Assigned Teachers
8. Each team sweeps and rescues one side of building or one end of the building.
9. Check the door before entering. Place / (slash) mark on door before entering.
10. If the room is empty, lock the door and mark it with an X (chalk during drill/black marker or tape during disaster).
11. Remove untrapped victims to a safe area (open/away from buildings.)
12. Mark H (help) on the door if victims are still inside.
13. Once classroom is completely evacuated, lock door, and mark with an X
14. After completing the first sweep, return to remove victims from rooms marked with H. Bring stretcher, wheelchair, etc. to assist with the second sweep.
15. If fatalities have occurred, note on site map, the location and description (name if known) of victim. Lock and mark door with an X.
16. While sweeping, note on site map, dangerous or pending problems to structure of Buildings.

- Master key - Search and Rescue disaster bag (specialized bag assigned to Supervisor) - Radio - Map
SURVEY TEAM (LOGISTICS/SUPPLY TEAM)
Personnel: Assigned Staff Member
Responsibilities:
1. Perform lifesavers.
2. Escort your class (and Buddys class, if assigned) to the assembly area.
3. Have students sit, in the predesignated area.
4. Take roll (take roll for your Buddy, if assigned).
5. Your roll sheet will be used as the EMERGENCY ATTENDANCE REPORT.
- IF student is absent (no show to class) mark A - IF student is present (in class during attendance) BUT did not report to the assembly area, mark P. Note where student was last seen and/or sent.

14. Keep Command Center informed of available supplies.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform lifesavers.

3. Have students sit, in the predesignated student assembly area.
4. Take roll (take roll for your Buddy, if assigned.).
5. Your roll sheet will be used as the EMERGENCY ATTENDANCE REPORT.
6. Send your roll sheet to the Command Center.
7. Use responsible students as runners/messengers.
8. Give roster to Buddy and report to command post.
9. Assess campus emergency set up and determine extent of emergency.
10. Report information to command post.
11. Continue to gather information both on and off campus to report to command post. Keep command post informed of changing situations outside their control.
