Personal Statement
In my opinion, I think that LA Dance Project is a prominent contemporary/ballet company. By looking at
their choreography, I can see great emphasis of ballet they add into their pieces. I really enjoyed how their
choreography consists of such fluidity in their movements and how the dancers made their dancing seem
effortless. After taking their master class last year, I would definitely recommend others to try it, because they
made me feel a little bit more comfortable with improvisation. I think they are different from other companies
because its a collective dance company with a artistic director from different areas like choreography, design,
etc.

Reflections, choreographed by Benjamin
Millepied along with Barbara Krugers visual
effects and costumes.
