Established Goals:
Beabletoapplyunderstandingthatpuresubstanceshavecharacteristicphysicalandchemical
propertiesandaremadefromasingletypeofatomormolecule
Understandings:
Structure and Properties of matter
Pure substances have characteristic
physical and chemical properties and are
made from a single type of atom or
molecule
Chemical Reactions
states of matters and changes between
states, that chemical reactions involve
regrouping of atoms to form new
substances, and that atoms rearrange
during chemical reactions
Engineering
the design and the process of
optimization in engineering to chemical
reaction systems

1. Explain what youve done on your action plan. You
should be gathering and interpreting data
Are you ahead, behind, or on track?
Is each person meeting their deadlines?
What adjustments need to be made?
2. What new questions have come up from your
investigation? Can you investigate them? How?
3. Carry out at least one investigation
