Parent Night
Thank you for coming last night. It was great to
meet all of you. I am looking forward to working
closely with each of you as the school
year progresses.

News
Religion: We are practicing our prayer manners
each day. We read about going to Mass and the
things you can find inside of the church. On
Thursday, we looked for things that make St.Viator
Church special.

SuperKids: We are working in the first book titled
Welcome Back, Superkids. We are identifying
beginning, ending, and vowel sounds in words. We
practiced spelling groups of rhyming words.

Math: We are practicing using math vocabulary
words to name the parts of an addition sentence.
We are using counters, connecting cubes, and are
drawing pictures to help us answer math problems.
We are using a bar picture to help us plug in the
information given in a word problem. This week,
we practiced finding missing addends or the sum
of the addends in an addition sentence.

Science: We are reading about using our senses.
We have started working on a booklet about the 5
senses in class.

Social Studies: We are reading about going to
school. We are comparing our school day to the
one described in our textbook.
Star of the Week

Star of the Week begins on
Monday, September 8.

Our first star will be Joseph!
