SEO PIPING/ PIPE SUPPORT GROUP ACTIVITIES

1. Provide the evaluation and authoritative interpretation of Requests For

Information (RFI) on the design drawings, design and installation technical
specifications, codes and standards, design guides related to piping and pipe
supports.

2. Review and accept design changes to piping supports (drawings and design
reports).

3. Evaluate and accept stress analysis and resizing of piping supports.

4. Review and approve requests for substitution of material for piping and pipe
hangers and supports.

5. Provide Technical Assistance for the procurement activities of the materials

related to piping and pipe supports to be purchased on-shore, and where
necessary, off-shore.

6. Coordinate the NI design activities related to piping and pipe supports between
the site and all contractors.

7. Review and approval of FCR, and E&DCR.

8. Provide technical assistance to the activities of the design, Construction and

Commissioning groups.

9. Provide evaluation and approval of modifications made to the design of piping

and pipe supports.

10. Resolve design issues with both piping and and pipe support.

11. Provide on-shore technical interface with the customer on various piping and
pipe support matters related to the design and construction of the AP1000
units at Haiyang.

12. Coordinate interfaces between WEC technical team (on-shore and at the
home office) and the customer’s technical team on the resolution of complex
piping and pipe support issues.

13. Interface with the fabrication shop (e.g., Structural and Equipment Modules)
to resolve engineering and design issues.

14. Reconcile piping and pipe support design variations.

15. Investigate and resolve fit-up or sequencing problems in relation to the

approved design.

16. Provide on-shore support for the disposition of Nonconformance reports.

17. Resolve procurement related piping and pipe support changes.

18. Answer information requests from Construction/Startup groups.

19. Review construction procedures to ensure compliance with engineering

specifications.

20. Ensure that systematic controls are in place to ensure the design and
construction activities are performed using the latest applicable design
documentation.

21. Ensure proper and frequent communications between all parties in regards to
engineering related issues.
