Jump to the process

Last alarm line shows last unacknowledged alarm that the OS has command
control of.
Event pop-up button opens a floating image window of the event view

Alarm Colours**
White 0- Unpriority Information
Yellow 1- Low priority Do not require immediate action
Red 2- High priority Require immediate action
Magenta 3- Critical priority Require immediate action
** These are the standard alarm colours. See KFDD for your
systems alarm colours
First column in the alarm list:
* unacknowledged alarms
| /! unacknowledged alarms out of your command control
^ Disabled, suppressed or shelved alarm
Blank acknowledged active alarms

The alarm/event pages
There are four pages
To retrieve data from history station to Historic Event Page

The Four Alarm/Event Pages
DYNAMIC ALARM One page, is being updated when new alarms occur
STATIC ALARM Several pages, not being updated when opened
HISTORIC EVENT Historical list of events for a specified time span
DYNAMIC EVENT One page, is being updated when activated events occur
You can choose between the pages at the bottom of the page.
Allows you to specify the time span for the displayed historical event.
Terminates the reading of the database

How to acknowledge alarms
Alarms may be acknowledged from different places:
With the mouse/trackball:
Mark alarm to be acknowledged
Push right trackball-button (or right click on the mouse)
Choose Ack.
From the Alarm page:
Mark alarm to be acknowledged by right click
Left click on
Left click on will cause all unacknowledged alarms to be acknowledged, if no
certain alarm is marked

How to operate from the alarm page
Right click on a tag name
Select Module
Standard module menu appears

Alarm settings
All alarm settings must be done on the Alarm Limits view.
Changes can only be performed by users with extended rights. E.g.
members of user groups like PowerUsers or Administrators.
You must also, of course, have command control of the module.

Alarm Shelving
How to shelve an alarm:
Acknowledge the alarm
Right click, select Shelve alarm
Set Expiration time
Select Show list of shelved alarms if wanted
No sign of a shelved alarm can
be observed

Alarm Shelving Edit
It is possible to edit a shelved alarm in the Alarm shelving dialog box:
Select the alarm
Click the Edit button

Alarm filter
The default filter will always be the
active filter when opening the alarm
list. It will at all times correspond to
the command control groups you
access.
It is possible to filtrate which alarms
you wish to see, by selecting
different filters in the Alarm filters list
box.

Filter attributes
It is possible to see the different filter attributes and current settings.
Open the Filter function
Click the Filters button to see the settings
Expand the selected filter (Click the + in front)
Select an attribute, View button or double click

Making the alarm filter
You may make your own filters by using the Filters button on the tool
bar.
Select Filter window appears
Click the Filters... button

Making the alarm filter
The filter which is active comes up normally Default filter
Click the New button. A copy of the filter being active is made.
Select a meaningful filter name
Press Enter
Expand the filter by use of a click on the +
Click on the attributes and use View to see
the setting.
Modify the attributes to modify the filter
Click the Apply button when finished to save
It is possible to lock the filter so that it
cannot be changed without unlocking it.
