WHAT IS CARE?

The Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education, Inc. (CARE) is a nonsecular educational
organization dedicated to assembling research and disseminating information on the healing
properties and therapeutic applications of essential oils. This is accomplished by the sponsorship of
seminars, hands-on workshops, and the publication of various books and DVDs.
The focus of the program is to teach Raindrop Technique and associated skills, as originated and
taught by D. Gary Young. This is accomplished through a series of courses that anyone can take.
These include the Healing Oils of the Bible, Applied Vitaflex, Raindrop Technique, Emotional
Release, Essential Oil Science and Chemistry, Basic Principles of Aromatherapy as well as Hands-on
Practice and other Healing Skills.
The CARE Program also offers the opportunity to become a Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist
(CRTS), a Licensed Spiritual Healer (LSH), a Board Certified Raindrop Specialist (BCRS), and/or a
Certified CARE Instructor (CCI).
CARE Classes are unusual or unique in many ways:
(1) CARE Classes are small with no more than 10 students per instructor to insure close supervision
in hands-on training;
(2) In CARE Raindrop Technique classes, a Raindrop Technique lecture and demonstration is given.
Then, each participant receives a session and facilitates two sessions. Thus, each participant in the
CARE Raindrop classes (8 hrs) gets to see a Raindrop, experience a Raindrop, and practice doing
Raindrop twice with supervision. In this way, everyone taking a CARE class is assured of going
home being able to do the Raindrop Technique;
(3) The chemistry and science portions are presented in simple lucid terms understandable by
anyone whether having a background in sciences or not.
(4) All topics taught in CARE Classes are accompanied with sets of notes given out to all students.
There may also be a bookstore offered with books and DVDs to purchase that parallel and support
what is offered in class.
(5) CARE classes are taught only by Certified CARE Instructors who have completed a rigorous
training program that prepares them not only in knowing the material, but in how to teach the
material as well.
(6) CARE Classes address all aspects of ourselves: Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual and
relate most class materials, even chemistry, to scripture.
(7) Once you have taken and paid for a CARE Class, you may repeat it for half price anywhere, any
time, with any CARE Instructor. Many have taken the entire CARE Curriculum more than once,
finding deeper insights and understanding each time.
(8) The complete CARE Certification Program toward becoming a Certified CARE Instructor (CCI)
involves 23 requirements (164 hrs). However, once the first 11 requirements (72 hrs) are fulfilled,
you are eligible to become a Certified Raindrop Practitioner (CRP) and Licensed Spiritual Healer
(LSH) which makes it legal for you to practice Raindrop in all 50 States and Provinces of Canada.
Becoming a CRP is possible only through CARE.
(9) Completing all 23 requirements to become a CCI makes you eligible to become a Board
Certified Raindrop Specialist (BCRS). Becoming a BCRS is possible only through CARE. Click on item
in sidebar to the right for more information.
(10) CARE is an Approved Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education &
Training (IACET) - (Provider #1307732) and is also an Approved Provider by the National
Certification Board for therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) - (Provider #408294-00).
Between these two accrediting agencies CARE Classes provide continuing education for a variety of
health-care professionals.
(11) CARE trains more people in Raindrop, Vitaflex, and related topics than any other organization
in the world. Anyone willing and able to invest the time, effort, and resources to fulfill the 23
requirements of the CARE Curriculum can join the CARE Faculty become a part of CARE's global
mission to bring practical healing skills into homes and healing practices everywhere.
These are just some of the ways CARE International, its Programs, and its Classes are different or
unique.
Most people take CARE Classes for their information and training. However, the core of the CARE
Mission is the Certified CARE Instructor (CCI) Program. Through the CCI Program, individuals can
acquire a thorough grasp of the basic therapeutic applications and scientific theory of essential oils
and may become, themselves, a Certified CARE Instructor, a member of the CARE Faculty,
authorized to teach Healing Oils of the Bible, Raindrop Technique, Applied Vitaflex, and other topics
in the name of CARE and for their classes to serve toward certifying others and training additional
CCIs according to CARE policies.
Thus, CCIs may pass on their expertise to others who, upon completion of the program, may do
likewise in their own communities. In this way, the educational process of learning to perform and
teach raindrop and other healing arts becomes locally available and self-duplicating with the
capability of reaching thousands who would not otherwise have access to such training. CARE
International is a self-replicating education program that will eventually reach millions throughout
the world.
It is CARE's vision that some day proper therapeutic application of essential oils will become
common household knowledge and Raindrop Technique will be a skill practiced by parents,
spouses, and friends everywhere, and by professionals as well.

from Young Living Essential Oils, Inc., a network marketing company. All CARE Instructors are
active Young Living Distributors.

I have been a member of Young Living since 1996. I was the type oiler that you could classify as
using the oils as a First Aid Kit. If someone in my family got a cut or burn I would run for the
lavender. Prior to dining at a restaurant before eating I would grab the Thieves for protection from
strange microbes. Or if my kids were a bit too rambunctious I would grab the Peace and Calming to
oil them down to a low roar. That type of oil usage went on until 2008 (yep, 12 years) until I
attended my first CARE (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education) Intensive class.
Each class in the Intensive provided me with different information regarding how the oils could
enrich my mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well being. I was amazed at how much there
was to learn about the oils and how they could benefit my family in a much deeper way than just
being a First Aid source. CAREs educational program is of such high quality, and I should know as
I have spent many an hour in the university systems as both as an educator and as a doctoral
student while earning an Educational Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, yep, the CARE
classes are that good.
Some of the things that I would have done differently, if I knew then what I know now, is to have
a series of oils that I apply daily such as White Angelica as a protection to ward off negativity, Valor
to balance my energy fields and body alignment, Copaiba for pain relief in my back and shoulders,
Joy for that added emotional lift when I need it. These are just a few of the items I now use daily.
After my first CARE Intensive I was so moved that I decided right then and there to become a
CARE Instructor. This has enriched my life so much because I get to meet people from all over the
world that have passion for the oils like I do. However, the reasons people take a CARE Intensive
are quite varied.
Moms take it to understand how to use the oils to benefit their families. Did you know that if one of
your children become constipated that there is an easy Vitaflex move on the shins, taught by CARE,
that can bring relief without taking any medication? Or that anointing your children before you put
them to bed with a series of oils and a prayer can help save them from building up emotional
baggage?
People take CARE classes for different reasons: Some want to become Certified Raindrop Technique
Specialists (CVRS) and learn how to legally practice Raindrop Technique. Others want to learn ways
to help build their Young Living businesses because what you learn in a CARE Intensive will help
you do that. Some professionals take the course to receive continuing education credits to renew
their licenses. Finally, a small percentage decide to go all the way through the CARE program and
become instructors.

Licensing Boards (FSHLB), requires CRTS or BCRS certification if you intend to use the Raindrop technique in
your spiritual practice.

1. Participants who have satisfactorily completed the first 72 hours of the CARE Certification Program, which

CRTS and BCRS are each good for three years and renewal is contingent upon accumulating 60 CEUs
(continuing education credits ). CRTS and BCRS certificates are issued immediately upon application. Upon
application for LSH, you must complete either the "Healer Coach Course" at www.healercoach.com or the
Aromatherapy for Spiritual Healers Course" accessible through www.aromatherapycoach.com.
These are taught via teleconference and are usually offered four times a year. Instructors for these classes
will notify NTCB when you complete one of them. NTCB will then authorize the issuance of your LSH license,
the fee for which you will have already submitted with your CRTS or BCRS application. LSH is reissued
annually and you will be notified by ACHLB when due. Completing either of these two courses also suffices to
fulfill the 60 hours continuing education for CRTS or BCRS.

CERTIFIED CARE INSTRUCTOR (CCI) CURRICULUM
The CARE Certification and Training Program was developed to train individuals to become
Raindrop Practitioners and Teachers. However, is not necessary to be certified to do and teach
raindrop. Most people take the CARE training classes for the skills and information they provide
without ever completing the rest of the requirements for certification. CARE Classes are open to the
public with no pre-requisites. One does not need to have any prior experience or training in
massage, aromatherapy, or any other healing modality. Anyone is welcome to take CAREs formal
25-hour course curriculum in whole or in part regardless of whether they intend to complete the full
CCI Program or not.
A Certified CARE Instructor (CCI) is a member of the CARE Faculty and is authorized to teach
courses in Bible Oils, Raindrop Technique, and Applied Vitaflex in the name of CARE for CARE
credit. Upon fulfilling certain other requirements beyond the basic certification, CCIs may also be
authorized to teach classes on Emotional Release with Oils and Introductory Essential Oil Chemistry
on behalf of CARE. CCI is a teaching credential.
There are 23 requirements toward becoming a CCI. Upon completion of the first 14, you become a
CCA (CARE Class Assistant). Upon completing the first 21 requirements, you become a CARE Intern
or CI. Upon successfully teaching your Internship Classes as a CI, in the presence of a Supervising
CCI, you become a CCI or Certified CARE Instructor. CCI requirements fall into seven categories as

FORMAL IN-CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Note: Certificates of Participation are issued by CARE to those completing courses in Vitaflex,
Raindrop, Emotional and Chemistry. There is no certificate for the Bible Program.
Comment to Those Who Have Received YLEO Training:
Young Living Essential Oils, Inc. (YLEO) has offered excellent training in vitaflex, raindrop, essential
oil chemistry, and emotional release, which we highly recommend. However, such training does not
count for CARE credit toward becoming a Certified CARE Instructor. People who have taken YLEO
training courses, Levels I and II, find that also taking the CARE Classes greatly enhances their skill,
knowledge, and understanding. CARE Classes are limited in size to no more than 10 students per
teacher and usually have an even fewer students per teacher. Thus, CARE Classes offer a great
deal of personal one-on-one instruction and training not possible in very large groups. CARE
Classes also offer a considerable amount of information, as well as additional skills, not included in
YLEO classes.

PURCHASE, STUDY, AND PRACTICE WITH CARE DVDS
Requirement 6
Obtain, View, Study, and Practice With CARE DVD/Videos of Applied Vitaflex and Raindrop
Technique. Following the completion of the CARE Vitaflex and Raindrop Classes as a CCI Candidate
you must have or obtain copies of the CARE DVD/Videos on Vitaflex and Raindrop . You must
watch them, take notes on them, and practice doing the techniques as they play until you have the
techniques and the information well in mind. The CARE Raindrop DVD/Video is complete with
nothing omitted for doing a complete Raindrop. It is paced so that those learning the technique can
play the video and do an actual Raindrop along with the video. See Req. 17 for a listing of the
Vitaflex and Raindrop video/DVDs. Verification of your completing this requirement is by yourself
signing it off. We trust you.

Practice Vitaflex (with or without oils) on 10 different people as presented in the CARE Vitaflex
Seminar, as seen on the CARE Vitaflex Video, and as given in the CARE Vitaflex Notes given in the
CARE Class. The techniques to practice are as follows:
Colon clearing on the shins
Colon clearin on soles of the feet
Lung areas of the feet
Bronchial reflex points of the feet
Sinus points on the toes
Head and brain vitaflex on the toe

Practice the full Raindrop Technique on at least fifteen people. Have each sign off on the
certification check list. These need not be ten different people. It is recommended that several of
these be done after attending your first Raindrop Seminar, but before the second of the two
Raindrop Seminars required by CARE.

Teach six people the Vitaflex techniques as presented in the CARE Vitaflex Seminar, given in the
CARE Class Notes, and demontrated on the CARE Vitaflex DVD. Teach the same list of techniques
as given for Requirement 7.

CCI Candidates shall make an appointment with a Supervising CCI to demonstrate their ability to
perform the twelve basic Vitaflex techniques and a complete Raindrop Procedure as taught in the
CARE Seminars and demonstrated on the CARE Videos. Before taking the Return Demonstration
and Oral Exam, the CCI Candidate must have completed requirements 1 thru 10.
To locate a Supervising CCI nearest your area, consult the online Directory of Certified CARE
Instructors or contact CARE. There is customarily a non-refundable fee for this hands-on exam,
payable to the examining CCI.
The decision on pass/fail for the exam is made by the examining CCI in consultation with the CARE
Education Committee. If the student does not pass, they will be intructed as to their deficiencies
and given an opportunity to reschedule another exam. The examiners fee is non-refundable and
must be paid each time the exam is taken.
Upon successful completion of the Return Demonstration and Oral Exam, the CCI Candidate
become a CCA or CARE Class Assistant. CCAs may assist other CCIs in teaching CARE Classes,
including assisting in a 3 or 4-day CARE 25-hour Intensive.

MORE NON-CLASSROOM PRACTICE
Requirement 12
Non-Classroom Practicums of Vitaflex (2nd Set) Details of Req. 12 are the same as for Req. 7
except, instead of 10 Vitaflex practicums, only 6 are necessary. The reason for some additional
Vitaflex practice at this point in your journey toward certification is this: Now you have passed your
Return Demo (Req. 11) and have been critiqued, corrected, and tweaked in your techniques to
make sure that your Vitaflex performance is in greater harmony with the CARE manner of practice.
It has been said that Practice makes perfect. But this is not always true. Only perfect practice
makes perfect. Now that you have been tested and have passed the exam, your practice should be
better and more nearly perfect, so you will be more ready for the remaining requirements (such as
Reqs. 14, 22, and 23). In this requirement, as in Req. 7, you are to practice Vitaflex correctly on at
least six (6) different people as taught at a CARE Vitaflex class and as seen on the CARE Vitaflex
Video/DVD. Have each person receiving your practice sign off on your certification check list. Some
of these can be the same ones you practiced on for Req. 7. Oils are optional except for #10 (ear
Vitaflex). If you wish, you may use your notes and play the CARE DVD as you practice. The Vitaflex
maneuvers to be practiced are the same as those listed for Req. 7.

Requirement 13
Non-Classroom Practicums of Raindrop (2nd Set) The details of this requirement are the same as
for Req. 8, except instead of 15 Raindrop practicums only 10 are necessary to meet this
requirement. The reason for more Raindrop practice at this point, as you move toward certification,
is this: Now you have passed your Return Demo (Req. 11) and have been critiqued, corrected, and
tweaked in your techniques to make sure that your Raindrop performance is in greater
conformance with the version of Raindrop as taught by CARE. This is your opportunity to do ten
(10) more practice Raindrop sessions to perfect your technique. If appropriate, you may charge
your clients for these sessions.

CARE CLASS ASSISTANT TEACHING
Requirement 14
Assist Teaching Vitaflex and Raindrop Techniques in a CARE Intensive. To be eligible to do the
Assistantship Class, the Candidate must have completed all previous Reqs. 1 - 13. The CCA
Candidate must arrange their Assistantship Class with an SCCI or FCCI. This shall be at least 60
days before the CARE Intensive date chosen and agreed upon with the selected Supervisor. The
date of the chosen class must be no less than 30 days after successfully completing the Return
Demo (Req. 11). In order to find and choose a class to assist, visit the CARE website at
www.RaindropTraining.com for a current calendar of CARE Intensives. Or you may choose a
specific SCCI or FCCI and work with their schedule of planned classes.

that anyone can study, understand, and apply. A treasure trove of useful knowledge for personal
and family health. Currently available in thier 8th and 3rd editions, respectively. Any edition,
however old, of either of these publications will suffice to fulfill the CCI requirement. Both are

Emotional Release with Essential Oils (ERD) (2005) Emotional Release with Essential Oils
includes a lecture by Dr. David Stewart, which is a normal part of every CARE Class on emotional

WRITTEN FINAL EXAM
Requirement 20
Written Take-home, Open-Book Final Exam. CCI Candidates may obtain a copy of the exam from
CARE any time after they have started taking the CARE Classes. It may be downloaded from the
CARE website: www.RaindropTraining.com. If this does not work for you, contact CARE and a copy
will be sent to you.

Completed exams are to be submitted to CARE when applying for certification approval and not
before. (See Req. 21). The material in the exam is taken from the required texts and DVDs
specified in Reqs. 6, 16 & 17, as well as from the written materials distributed in CARE Classes.

The exams purpose is to guide you through the resources to help you focus on the important
points and assimilate them. The exam will also help you generate a set of well-organized notes to
use as a resource in your teaching. Hence, part of your grade will be based on neatness and how
well the notes will serve as a reference for you.

A passing grade is 97% or better. If you score less than 97%, the missed questions will be noted
and you will be asked to resubmit correct answers for those questions until you pass. While this
requirement earns 38 hours of CARE credit, expect to spend more than 38 hours to complete the
exam.

APPLICATION FOR INTERNSHIP APPROVAL
Requirement 21
Upon completion of all requirements listed above, the CCI Candidate may apply for CARE Intern
status by submitting the following items to CARE. Please allow 40 days for processing:
a. Completed Certification Check List. (If you have several of these partially completed but with
everything fulfilled by combining the forms, submit all of them stapled together as a unit.)
b. Your Completed Final Exam. If not passing, you will be notified of questions for which to
resubmit answers until you pass.
c. $150 One-Time CI Application Fee, to grade exam, issue the CI Certificate, and process the
application. (Does not include the first years dues. See p. 79.) Make checks to CARE.
NON-CREDIT TEACHING PRACTICE
Requirement 22
Teach Non-Credit Basic Set for Practice Before organizing your Internship Class, which is a real
CARE Class for CARE Credit for which students pay, you must do one practice session for no credit
following the class outlines in the CARE Instructors Manual. Arrange for a minimum of 3 and a
maximum of 6 people to take the practice seminar in Raindrop and Vitaflex. There should be little
or no charge for the class, and the students coming need to be informed that for you this is
practice and for them this is for information and training only, no credit.

The class is to be structured exactly as you will structure your Internship Class (Req. 23), a Basic
Set including 4 hours of Vitaflex and 8 hours of Raindrop. This will have to be over a two-day
period. Dont try to do it all in one day. This will be unobserved and on your own, but evaluation
forms must be mailed to CARE for every student taking the class, along with their addresses, emails
and phones. These will go on file as verification that you fulfilled this requirement. This requirement
is intended to help you prepare for the real thing in Req. 23 where you can accept up to 10
students and do the class as a stand-alone seminar or as part of a full CARE Intensive in with your
Mentoring SCCI.

CCI INTERNSHIP TEACHING
Teach One Basic Set of Official CARE Classes, in the presence of a CARE Observer (following the
outlines in the CARE Instructors Manual). There must be a minimum of 5 attending students (10
maximum) who will be asked to complete evaluation forms to be collected by the Observing SCCI.
Copies or the evaluation forms and Examining SCCI report are to be received by CARE and the CEC
before a decision is made as to pass/fail. The role of the attending SCCI will be as an observer and
not as an assistant. However, the Observing SCCI may find it necessary to make corrections to
things you say or demonstrate to make sure the students receive proper and correct training and
information, since, for the students, this will be taken for CARE credit toward certification. If the
Observing SCCI has to step in too much to keep the teaching up to CARE Standards, this will be
deemed as a failing performance and another CARE Internship class will need to be scheduled in
order to pass Req. 23.

REQUIREMENT 21: Applying for CCI Certification
Upon completion of all course requirements, the CCI Candidate may apply for CCI status by
submitting these three items to CARE.
Allow 40 days for processing the following:
a) Completed Certification Check List. (It is permissible to submit several partially
completed checklists stapled together as a unit so long as the combined document contains
all items on the Check List.)
b) A Completed Final Exam. (Anyone who does not pass the exam will receive a list of the
questions missed and may resubmit the answers to those questions until a passing grade is
achieved.)
c) A One-Time CCI Application Fee of $150*. This fee does not include the applicant's first
year of membership on the CARE faculty.
(*Checks should be made out to CARE.)

TIME LIMIT FOR CERTIFICATION PROCESS
There is a two-year time limit for completing the CCI Certification process. Taking several of the
CARE courses more than two years apart will require the candidate to retake those courses that fall
outside the two year limit and comply with the requirements found in the most current CCI
Handbook.

WHAT CCIs RECEIVE UPON CERTIFICATION
Upon final approval as a Certified CARE Instructor, the new CCI will receive:
1. A letter of confirmation as an Intern from CARE acknowledging your 140 hours of earned
CARE Credit, provisionally appointing you to the CARE Faculty and authorizing you to act in
the capacity of a CARE Intern.
2. Your graded Final Exam.
3. An invoice for the remaining years dues as an active member of the CARE Faculty which is
payable upon receipt.
4. A handsome Certificate of CARE Internship, suitable for framing, including the colorful
CARE Logo, and good for one year.
5. A listing on the CARE Faculty Registry website, as a CARE Intern, which includes receiving
referrals for clients looking for a Raindrop facilitator in your area.
6. A CARE Packet containing the CARE Logo, sets of original notes to duplicate for your
classes, and other items you will need in preparing for and teaching your Internship Class.
7. A copy of the latest CCI Handbook which will be the requirements and guidelines under
which you fall upon becoming a CI.

CHANGES IN POLICIES OR CCI REQUIREMENTS
There may be a need to change CARE policies or CCI requirements from time to time. When such
changes are necessary, CCIs will be notified. When such changes result in a revision of the CCI
Handbook, persons in the process of certification will be judged for certification by requirements
that were in effect on the date they took their first Raindrop Seminar. (For the exception to this
provision, see Time Limit for Certification Process.)

TERMS, RENEWALS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
The term of an active CCI shall be five years from the date of certification. The one-time
Certification Application Fee (See Requirement 21) is only for grading the Final Exam and
processing the application and does not apply toward annual dues. Annual Dues in the amount of
$240 are due at the first of every year and secures the CCI the right to receive all of the materials,
services, updates and on-going communications provided by CARE. Active CCIs are entitled to have
the seminars they organize for CARE credit listed and publicized in the CARE Calendar.
At the end of the first year (and the beginning of the second), CCIs will be required to renew
their membership in CARE to remain as an active Certified Instructor and member of the CARE
Faculty. CCIs will be notified in advance of their annual renewal date. The annual renewal fee shall
be $240, and will go to help defer the costs of maintaining CAREs Caring Communications.
At the end of the second, third, and fourth years, CCIs will again be required to renew
theirmembership in CARE to remain as an active Certified Trainer and member of the CARE
Faculty. CCIs will be notified in advance of their annual renewal date. The annual renewal fee shall
be $240, and will go to help defer the costs of maintaining CARE's Caring Communications.
Before the end of the fifth year, CCIs will be required to fulfill certain continuing education
requirements, to be determined by CARE, as a condition for reissuing another three-year certificate.

website.

DEFINITION OF AN "ACTIVE"OR "CURRENT"CCI
An "active"or "current"CCI is one whose certificate has not expired, whose annual fees are current,
and who has fulfilled the continuing education requirements for the third year as outlined by CARE.

TERMINATION OR REVOCATION OF CCI STATUS
CCI status may be revoked by CARE for non-performance or non-compliance with the
CCIResponsibilities as outlined in the CCI Handbook and on this website. Such revocation will be
issued only with prior warnings and with sufficient time for the offending CCI to amend any
infringements. CARE hopes that this provision will never be exercised, but reserves the right to do
so if deemed necessary to protect the integrity and reputation of CARE and its other CCI members.

AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is the application of essential oils for therapeutic purposes. Oils may be applied to
stimulate healing in both humans and animals. They may also be applied to maintain existing
health, promoting wellness and optimal well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Essential Oils are extracts from the plant fluids that maintain plant life. These fluids and resins
move through the plant's circulatory system in the leaves, stems, roots, and flowers, carrying
nutrition to the plant cells and carrying waste products out, just as human blood functions in the
body. Because essential oils are composed of the tiniest of organic molecules they can pass through
cell walls and membranes delivering therapeutic benefits, not only to the plants that create them,
but to people as well. They are God's natural medicine and have been recognized and used by
humans for over 5,000 years that we know of. Essential oils are mentioned over 500 times in the
Bible and were used by Moses, Aaron, Mary and Joseph. Jesus also received and used them,
teaching his disciples to anoint the sick with oil and heal them. (Mark 6:12-13).
Aromatherapists apply essential oils in several ways. They can be inhaled, where the molecules of
oil enter the blood stream via the lungs and travel to the organs and tissues of the body where
they can administer their benefits. In some cases they can also be taken orally. Most commonly
they are rubbed directly on the skin, usually the feet or the back, and are often diluted with a
natural carrier oil, such as olive, almond, or grape seed. In all cases, the small essential oil
molecules penetrate into the body and assist in obtaining a balance that can lead to strength and
health.
Carrier oils, which are used to dilute the powerfully concentrated essential oils, are the fatty oils we
like to eat. Corn, Peanut, and Olive oils are examples. Food oils are not essential oils. They are
produced in the seeds of plants where they stay and do not circulate. They do not circulate because
they are composed of large molecules that cannot easily penetrate tissues. Neither are they
aromatic. God created the food oils, not only for us to eat as humans, but also as food for the
young, germinating plant. Plants have to create their own food. In order to do so they must have

PRIVILEGES OF THE CERTIFIED CARE INSTRUCTOR
A Certified CARE Instructor is accorded certain rights and privileges through CARE, Inc. According
to the CARE handbook published in January, 2002, a "current" or "active" Certified CARE Instructor
is entitled to:
1. Use the title "Certified CARE Instructor"and the initials "CCI" or "C.R.T." on business cards ,
stationary, literature, and in other ways deemed professional and appropriate.
2. Organize and give training seminars in the name of CARE and on behalf of CARE following CARE
syllabi, literature, guidelines and policies in the following two areas:
a. Healing Oils of the Bible
b. Applied Vitaflex
c. Raindrop Technique
CCIs are authorized only to teach the above portions of the CCI curriculum. At this time the
Emotional Release and Oil Chemistry courses will only be taught by officers of CARE, Inc., or by
CCIs specially qualified to do so. Additional training for CCIs to teach these courses will be outlined
in a future edition of the CCI handbook and this website.
Participants completing either of these seminars under the leadership of a CCI may receive a
certificate of participation for each seminar from CARE as well as credit from CARE toward earning
CCI status for themselves. The proper forms and fees for each student must be filed with CARE as
outlined in theCertification portion of this website. (See also, Fees & Dues.)
3. Organize and give programs on the Healing Oils of the Bible in the name of CARE and sign Check
Lists for CCI Candidates as verification of their attendance for CARE CCI Certification Credit.
Certificates are not issued for attendance to the Bible Oils Program and no fees are due.
4. Have their seminars listed in the CARE Calendar. Official CARE seminars taught by CCIs will be
listed in the master list of CARE training programs and publicized by CARE in various ways to
promote participation. It is the responsibility of the organizing CCI to supply dates, places and other
pertinent information in a timely way such that all such events can be included on the CARE
Calendar.
5. Be listed with name, address and phone number in the Directory of Certified CARE
Instructors published in the CCI Handbook and on the CARE Website. The Directory will be made
available to those seeking Raindrop training and/or facilitators to do Raindrop Technique.
6. Purchase additional copies of the CCI certificate and pin that are presented upon a candidate's
initial certification as a CCI.
7. Purchase any Official CCI apparel, stationary or other items with the CCI logo or other CCI
designation as made available from CARE.
8. Attend any CARE Seminar offered by any CCI for half-price or other fee agreed upon by the CCI
serving as organizer and trainer for the course. Such attendance would be for information only with
no certificate or credit to be issued by CARE.
9. Accept CCI candidates as assistants in the CARE Seminars you teach and organize and sign their
certification sign off lists. CCI candidates shall receive no remuneration for their assistance as they
are working to receive practice teaching credit by their participation.
10. Accept CCI Candidates who have completed their course work to serve as the examining CCI
for their Return Demonstration as outlined in Requirement 15. CCIs may charge a fee for this
service mutually agreeable to the CCI and the candidate. Further, CCIs are authorized to sign their
approval on behalf of CARE on the candidate's certification check list.

including the two most famous dream analysts, Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, (Freud wrote The Interpretation of
Dreams and Jung was his protg). Also presented will be the unique approaches of Louise Hay and Edgar Cayce,
who both taught that your pathway to healing is from within, and available to all who will search inside.
Angela Celi suggests 'incubating' a dream for the several nights before the class. Before you go to bed, write down a
question you have in your life, for example, Am I following the right path?, or What do I need to do to improve my
current situation?, or more specific questions such as Am I making the right choice with a new job?, then go to
sleep. In the morning, immediately upon awakening, write down as much as you can remember about any dream
activity. Bring your dreams to class and be ready to learn how to use your dreams to help you understand your life
and create your future.

This is a hands-on class, designed to give participants the basic knowledge to perform and experience a Raindrop
Therapy treatment. During this class, participants will learn about the essentials oils used during the treatment,
observe a demonstration, and then both give and receive a full Raindrop Therapy treatment. All essential oils
necessary are included in the class and a take home-kit will be available for purchase, if desired.

In Raindrop Therapy, pure essential oils (herbal plant extracts) are dropped "raindrop fashion" along the spine and
gently massaged in. When hot, moist towels are applied, the oils penetrate into the muscles to help them relax. The
spinal nerves affect all the muscles and organs of the body. While this treatment is very relaxing, people often report
having a sense of emotional calmness, feeling more grounded and centered, and sometimes report more cognitive
focus and mental clarity afterwards.

To receive the best results from your personal Raindrop Therapy treatment, it is best if you don't schedule anything
too strenuous and can relax and rest. During your Raindrop Therapy treatment, your back will be exposed in a warm
room, t-shirt and shorts/sweat pants or similar attire suggested.

All materials will be supplied, including tea and snacks. You can expect a very relaxing experience, and may enjoy
changes in your mood, physical body (especially your back, neck and hips) and your mental and cognitive abilities for
a few days after the class.
Anna Ferraraccio holds advanced degrees in Psychology and Education and currently combines her work as a
Spiritual Healer with psychotherapy and bodywork. Anna is an Accredited Outreach Trainer for The Monroe Institute;
graduated from the Edgar Cayce School of Massage (ARE) in Virginia Beach, and a graduate the Barbara Brennan
School of Healing, 4-year college level program for professional healers. She also graduated from the Advanced
Studies, Teacher Training and Brennan Integrated Practitioner programs offered by the Barbara Brennan School as
well, and taught on the Freshman Team. Anna brings all of her love, compassion and wisdom into her healing and
teaching. Anna and her husband Anthony recently opened a beautiful, state-of-the-art Healing Center in Pipestem,

Aromatherapy is the use of plant essential oils for healing purposes. Aromatherapy
can affect body, mind and spirit using plant oils via inhalation, immersion, or direct
application. For aromatherapy to have a true healing effect, the user must be sure
that the oils they select are pure, therapeutic grade oils that are not adulterated
with chemicals or diluted for mass production. In the world of essential oils, you
really get what you pay for. The highest grade oils are harvested from plants that
grow in their natural habitat where climate and soil conditions create optimal
growing conditions. Therapeutic grade oils are extremely potent and must be used
in very small quantities and diluted before applying to the skin.
The Springs offers aromatherapy consultations to assist
clients in developing a personal blend to meet individual
needs. A small bottle of the personal blend is provided for
home use following the consultation. Our retail store carries
Oshadhi Essential Oils. We stock several single oils and
some synergistic blends. Other oils including rare and
specialty oils not typically stocked can be special-ordered by request.
In addition, our therapists use Oshadhi essential oils in our spa treatments to
enhance the therapeutic effects of the treatment.

Grapeseed - Light and easily absorbed, mildly astringent to help tone and tighten
skin
Apricot Kernel - Easily absorbed by the skin, rich in Vit A, helpful for dry, sensitive

GUIDELINES
As a general rule, essential oils should never be applied neat or undiluted to the
skin. An standard dilution is roughly 2.5%. Dilution strengths up to 5% may be used
short-term for acute treatment, but should not be used long-term at that strength.
For the elderly, children, and those with sensitive skin, begin experimenting at
0.5% or 1% dilution. It is not recommended to use essential oils with children under
the age of 2. Some essential oils can be sensitizing and can irritate the skin. If
irritation occurs, wash immediately.
20 drops per oz is a 2.5% dilution
To calculate dilution, 1 oz = 600 drops.
Divide EO drops by Carrier drops and convert to percentage. Ex: 20 drops EO /
600 drops carrier = 0.025 ( 2.5%)

Other spiritual healing Techniques - Any Healing Technique may be
applied for a Spiritual purpose. The intention of the client and Spiritual healer is
what determines if a Technique is being used in a Spiritual manner or not including
the following interventions and techniques:

NOTE 1: Aromatherapy used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those spiritual
healers using and teaching aromatherapy as one of their healing techniques must
be licensed by their state, province, district or country or become properly certified
and maintain certification as an aromatherpist. Spiritual healers may use or teach
aromatherapy as a spiritual healing technique only so long as they remain properly
credentialed.
NOTE 2: Acupressure used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those spiritual healers
using and teaching acupressure as one of their healing techniques must be
licensed by their state, province, district or country or become properly certified
and maintain certification as an acupressurist. Spiritual healers may use or teach
acupressure as a spiritual healing technique only so long as they remain certified
as an acupressurist.
NOTE 3: Reflexology used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those Spiritual healers
and coaches who use or teach reflexology as one of their healing techniques must
be licensed by their state, province, district or country or become properly certified
and maintain their certification as a reflexologist. Reflexologists may use and teach
reflexology only so long as they are properly credentialed.
NOTE 4: Audio, visual and audio-visual entrainment, light, sound and CES therapy,
biofeedback, bioenergetics, biofrequency, bioresonance. neurofeedback, light
and/or sound therapy used for spiritual healing is permitted only if the practitioner
is properly credentialled to provide those services to the public. Those Spiritual
healers using one or more of these techniques as one of their healing techniques
must be licensed by their state, province, district or country or become properly
certified and maintain certification as a biofeedback specialist or coach,
neurofeedback coach, specialist, or neurotherapist. Spiritual healers may use any
of these techniques as spiritual healing techniques only so long as they remain
properly credentialed.
NOTE 5: Colon Hydrotherapy and similar techniques used for spiritual healing is
permitted. Those Spiritual healers using these techniques as one of their healing
techniques must be licensed by their state, province, district or country or become
properly certified and maintain this certification as a colon hydrotherpist or any
other profession allowing the use of similar teahniques. Spiritual healers may use
any of these techniques as a spiritual healing technique only so long as they
remain properly credentialed.
NOTE 6: Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Nutrition used for spiritual healing is
permitted. Those Spiritual healers using these techniques as one of their healing
techniques must be licensed by their state, province, district or country or become
properly certified and maintain this certification as an homeopath, naturopath or
nutritionist. Spiritual healers may use these techniques as a spiritual healing
technique only so long as they remain lawfully credentialed.
NOTE 7: While several different tuning fork therapies have been in wide use for at
least 30 years, and the Federation considers them all valid spiritual interventions,
Ms. Francine M. Milford of Venice, Florida owns a trademark for the term "Tuning
Fork Therapy" effective January 2, 2002 as registered on May 24, 2005. The use of
the term "Tuning Fork Therapy" for any technology developed since January 2,
2002 is not permitted.
Ms. Milford demands that her form of tuning fork therapy not be used for spiritual
purposes. The Federation therefore recommends that Ms. Milford's students find
another and different tuning fork therapy for spiritual healing such as: 1. Christ-
centered Tuning Fork Therapy (Alliance of Christian Healers), 2. Buddhist Tuning
Fork Therapies (Tau Temple), 3. Essene Tuning Fork Therapy (Modern Essenes), 4.
Quantum Tuning Fork Therapy (Quantum Healing Hands) or Vibrational Tuning
Fork Therapy (SomaEnergetics).

Optional healing techniques are those techniques that require the spiritual healer
to touch their client in a manner that could incorrectly be construed as being
massage therapy. For this reason the Federation requires that if you offer any of
these services to the public for any other purpose than spiritual healing, you must
become certified as an expert in these fields and maintain malpractice insurance
for that specialty.
While the Federation has adopted these techniques as spiritual healing techniques,
each spiritual healer license board may allow these practices under their license or
not at their sole discretion. Licensed spiritual healers who perform these
techniques outside the scope of their spiritual healer license do so at their own
risk.
Aromatherapy Touch Techniques
Aromatherapy touch techniques used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those
spiritual healers using aromatherapy touch techniques as one of their healing
techniques must become certified and maintain certification as an aromatherapist.
(Note: All licensed spiritual healers may use aromatherapy as a spiritual healing
technique. This section only applies to those aromatherapists desiring to use an
aromatherapy touch technique.) The following aromatherapy touch techniques are
recognized by the Federation so long as the healer maintains valid certification
from an approved certification or licensing board:
RAINDROP TECHNIQUE - this form of spiritual anointing may be used.
VITAFLEX - this form of spiritual anointing may be used.
Acupressure
Acupressure used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those spiritual healers using
acupressure as one of their healing techniques must become certified and maintain
certification as an acupressurist. Spiritual healers may use acupressure as a
spiritual healing technique. The following acupressure techniques are recognized
by the Federation so long as the healer maintains valid certification from an
approved acupressure board:
ACUPRESSURE - all forms of spiritual acupressure may be used.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY - this form of spiritually laying on hands may be used.
JIN SHIN DO - this form spiritual acupressure may be used.
SHIATSU - this form of spiritual acupressure may be used.
SPIRITUAL ACUPRESSURE - all forms of spiritual acupressure may be used.
Reflexology
Reflexology used for spiritual healing is permitted. Those spiritual healers using
reflexology as one of their healing techniques must become certified and maintain
certification as a reflexologist. Spiritual healers may use reflexology as a spiritual
healing technique. The following reflexology techniques are recognized by the
Federation so long as the healer maintains valid certification from an approved
certification or licensing board:
EAR REFLEXOLOGY - this form of spiritual reflexology may be used.
HAND REFLEXOLOGY - this form of spiritual reflexology may be used.
JAPANESE FOOT THERAPY - this form of spiritual reflexology may be used.
PRECISION REFLEXOLOGY - this form of spiritual reflexology may be used.
PRECISION TOUCH - this version of spiritual reflexology may be used.
REFLEXOLOGY - all forms of spiritual reflexology may be used.
TONG REN THERAPY - this form of spiritual reflexology may be used.
Biofeedback
Audio, Sound, Light, Visual, Biofeedback and Neurofeedback therapy used for
spiritual healing is permitted. Those spiritual healers using one or more of these
techniques as one of their healing techniques must become certified and maintain
this certification as a biofeedback therapist or neurotherapist. Spiritual healers
may use any of these techniques as a spiritual healing technique. The following
techniques are recognized by the Federation so long as the healer maintains valid
certification from an approved biofeedback board:
AUDIO VISUAL THERAPY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
BIOFEEDBACK - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
LIGHT THERAPY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
NEUROTHERAPY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
SOUND THERAPY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
VISUAL THERAPY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Nutrition
Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Nutrition used for spiritual healing is permitted.
Those spiritual healers using these techniques as one of their healing techniques
must become certified and maintain this certification as an homeopath, naturopath
or nutritionist coach. Spiritual healers may use any of these techniques as a
spiritual healing technique. The following techniques are recognized by the
Federation so long as the healer maintains valid certification from an approved
certification or licensing board:
SPIRITUAL HOMEOPATHY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
SPIRITUAL NATUROPATHY - this form of spiritual healing may be used.
SPIRITUAL NUTRITION - this form of spiritual healing may be used.

Membership in the Federation is voluntary. The following types of organizations
are eligible for membership:
1. Spiritual healer and spiritual coach licensing boards
2. Churches, temples and fellowships that license their own spiritual healers
3. Organizations that educate and train spiritual healers and/or coaches
Members of the Federation must satisfy these requirements:
1. Spiritual healer licenses are annually renewable
2. Renewal of spiritual healer licenses requires 8 clock hours of continuing
education
3. Acceptance of all other members of the Federation
4. Spiritual healer licensing boards each appoint one director to the board
5. The board annually elects the chairman of the board during December
6. Other organizations may appoint a non-voting member to the board
7. Membership in the Federation is a donation as explained below
8. Any Federation profits are donated to charity
9. Any Federation deficits are assessed to the members
Members of the Federation enjoy the following benefits:
All Healer Coach course materials are available to the member for $195.00 per
person as a royalty fee. This includes all course materials covering Professional
Practices, Professional Ethics, Creating Your Own Informed Consent Forms and the
Basic Coaching Skills Workshop. The cost of these materials to non-members is
$565.00 per person.
All coaching facilitators for the basic coaching skills workshops must be trained by
Healer Coach and approved by the Federation. An additional fee of $200.00 per
person is required if the member organization requires the services of a Healer
Coach approved facilitator. (This additional $200.00 fee is paid to the Healer Coach
coaching facilitator.)
The Federation licenses your members for a $65.00 initial license fee. License
renewal fees are $55.00 per person annually.

Healer Coach Curriculum
While each Federation member has the right to set their own spiritual healer
license requirements, all members of the Federation agree the following
components of the Healer Coach curriculum are required:
1. Learn about Codex Alimentarius and it's effect on Natural Therapies
(Free)
2. Complete a correspondence course in Professional Practices
3. Complete a correspondence course in Professional Ethics
4. Complete a correspondence course in Informed Consent
5. Complete a Basic Coaching Skills Workshop via telephone conferenceing
or webinars

By design, these same courses and workshop also comply with the blueprints for
certification by the Natural Therapies Certification Board in all of the modalities
they certify (NTCB) and the International Academy of Certified Detoxification
Therapists (IACDT). The Federation invites other certification boards to contact us
about receiving our endorsement.

Process to become an Accredited Education Organization

Email the Federation indicating interest and with links to your spiritual healing
curriculum outline on the Internet or by letter to FSHLB, 8417 Oswego Road #131,
Bladwinsville, NY 13027. You can also include any attachments that might help
your petition.

Within two weeks the Federationnwill contact you with any questions or concerns
and help you through the accreditation process.

Once accredited, you will be granted a license to use the materials on Healer
Coach for a modest fee. You also have the option of using the staff services to
grade all the assignments and pay your school for facilitating the coaching
workshop. (Most of the boards select this second option as being more cost
effective. But you can do either.)

Once you're accredited by FSHLB your students will be welcome by any of these
boards and receive their license as soon as they complete the other requirements.
The staff will assist each student individually with that task if you elect the second
option given above.

Overview
The practice of aromatherapy is changing for a number of reasons,
including:
The mission of the Codex Alimentarius Commission is to
eliminate all natural therapies and replace them with
pharmaceutical drugs. They have billions of dollars to make this
happen.
Counseling and nutrition are fast becoming licensed professions
in North America and other parts of the world. These new
counseling and nutrition licensing boards are agressively
attempting to eliminate any competition that threatens licensed
practitioner income.
Medical licensing boards are challenging aromatherapists who
"diagnose, treat and prescribe" essential oils for medical
conditions of any kind.
The pharmaceutical industry is making synthetic toxic oils that
mimic natural essential oils. It's common to find synthetic oils with
a little bit of the real natural essential oil in the blend being
marketed as "natural essential oils." Unfortunately, all synthetic
essential oils are toxic chemicals.

You can spot these when you hear about extrordinarily low prices
for rare essential oils like Chamomile, Helichrysm, Melissa, Neroli,
Rose and Sandalwood. There is also a large amount of synthetic
Frankincense, Cloves, Cardomom, Galbanum, Myrrh, Spikenard,
German and Roman Chamomile being sold to the public as
"natural essential oils."
General Instructions
It may take you several weeks to complete the assignments for our
sessions, so we encourage you to get started on them as soon as
possible. On the average, you will need to spend three or more hours a
week preparing for our weekly conference calls. If you have any
questions or problems with these three assignments, please bring them
up during the question and answer portion of any workshop. We're here
to help everybody. No matter what your questions or concerns may be,
