1. Preparation process of E.

coli sample
1.1. Medium preparation (LB Broth, Miller Luria Bertani)
- Dissolve 25 g powder per 1L tap water
- Autoclave at 121
o
C in 30 min

1.2. E. coli growth process
- Add about 10 L initial E. coli HB101 solution (code 33694) to the medium
- Incubate at 32 37
o
C in the incubator for 24h
- After 24h, keep the sample in the fridge to make sure E. coli not continue to grow up,
and then analyze the concentration of E. coli if necessary by ATP analysis.

1.3. E. coli sample for the experiment
- Take 10 mL of E. coli sample above to the container
- Centrifuge at 2500 r.p.m for 15 min to separate the strains from the media
- Pour out all the media to keep only the precipitation (i.e the E. coli at the bottom of the
container), then add more 10 mL of deionized water
