ORGANS OF

SPEECH
The organs, which take part in the
production of speech sounds, are called
speech organs. When we speak, air
comes out through the lungs and it is
interfered at various places for the
production of sounds. Sounds cannot
occur without air.

7. TRACHEA
-The Trachea is the windpipe, which
conveys air from the larynx to the main
bronchi, with the lungs and their air
sacs as the ultimate destination
8. LARYNX
-The Larynx is a source of sound to
be used in speech
10. UVULA
-The most important among the uvula
function in the human body is speech
articulation and preventing food from
entering the breathing passage
9. PHARYNX
-The passage way for air and food
11. ALVEOLAR RIDGE
- An alveolar ridge; also known as the alveolar
margin) is one of the two jaw ridges either on the
roof of the mouth between the upper teeth and
the hard palate or on the bottom of the mouth
behind the lower teeth. The alveolar ridges
contain the sockets (alveoli) of the teeth.
