Dear Future Intern,

You have made an excellent decision by choosing Mickens Early Learning Academy
as part of your practicum experience. You will have an opportunity to explore the
wonderful rewards of working in early childhood education, along with a helping
hand from Dr. Mickens. Her wonderful supervisory techniques and broad
educational background will leave you feeling very confident in your role as an
administrator in the human services field. Dr. Mickens demonstrates strong
leadership skills and compassion for those she works with. I have been truly
inspired by Dr. Mickens and the manner in which she handles day to day situations
and communicates with staff. Dr. Mickens will always take the time to make sure
your are comfortable with your role as an intern and patiently answer any questions
your may have. Being apart of her Academy will truly make you feel as if you are
part of her family.
