My main goal for this course honestly is to get at least a B in it to keep my GPA up.
Aside from that, I also hope to improve my writing skills so that future writing assignments will
not be so challenging. At the end of this course, I hope to be able to write more intelligently and
fluidly. I believe that if I work hard every day and complete all of the assignments in this course
in a thoughtful manner, then all of this will be easily accomplished.

I dont think that brainstorming is necessary for everyone in order to write a good
paper. Some people just have an idea come to them out of the blue that requires no brainstorming
at all. I do not think that there is a specific way that brainstorming should be done, or look.
Everyone brainstorms differently. Personally, I usually make some sort of web, flow chart, or
just write down bullets. Others may just think to themselves. In high school, the only thing that I
was told about brainstorming was that we were required to show some sort of it for every paper
that we wrote. I pretty much learned all that I know about brainstorming on my own through trial
and error, I was never explicitly taught how to do it.

The thing that I am most concerned about regarding my paper is my conclusion. I have
not written it yet but that is always the weakest part of my essay. I was never taught how to write
a conclusion properly and because of that, my conclusions almost always turn into a summary of
my paper that is completely unnecessary and does not add anything to my paper. To fix this, I
plan on researching how to write a conclusion properly online and take notes so that I can apply
them to future papers.
