Learning Outcomes by the end of this
lesson, pupils should be able to:

ALL: Create art using technology and
colored pencils, clay, and watercolors.

MOST: Will understand the concepts of
technology, clay, and watercolors and will be
able to apply them most of the time.

SOME: Will understand the basics of clay
and watercolors and an idea of how to use
technology

Lesson Procedure:
a. Focusing event (something to get the students' attention)
b. Teaching procedures (methods you will use)
c. Formative check (progress checks throughout the lesson)
d. Student Participation (how you will get the students to
participate)
e. Closure (how you will end the lesson)

a: Give the students iPads with a paint app
and give them a few minutes to create
whatever they can.

b: Use the smart board to show them what I
created and the steps of what to do next.
Hand out sheets of paper and have the
students use colored pencils and try to make
their art better. Compare the two at the end.

c: Show the students what clay is and show
a PowerPoint over how to use the tools with
clay. Use an Elmo to show students how to
use watercolor paint.

d: Students with higher needs will be paired
with students who learn at a higher level so
they can help the students who need it.

e: Use a video quiz to review the three
things they learned.

recess to do a quick catch up of how to use
these techniques. Late or sick kids will be

Differentiation:
Support: There is no set project for the
students to make other than a rainbow, so
they can use their imagination when it
comes to the creating process.


Extension work: Students with high needs
will be paired with students with a higher
learning level so they are able to help.
