Lace Ornament Cover

Materials: Size 10 crochet cotton
Needles: Size US 5 double point
needles
Gauge: Unimportant
Abbreviations:
k2tog Knit 2 together
YO Yarn over





Cast on 6 sts. fairly loose.

Row 1: K1, Knit in front and back of next stitch 5 times (11 sts)
Row 2: Purl across
Row 3: K1, Knit in front and back of next stitch 10 times (21 sts)
Row 4: Purl across
Row 5: * K2, knit in front and back of stitch 5 times *, repeat from * to * 2 times.
(36 sts) Divide on three needles
Row 6: Knit around joining ends
Row 7: * YO, K2tog *; 18 times.
Row 8: Knit around.
Repeat rows 7 and 8 until approx. 3" long (~8-9 times)

When long enough, cut yarn leaving 12" tail.
Thread tail through stitches and remove from needles.
Sew small seam at bottom.
Remove top from ornament.
Slip knitting over ornament and draw up tail to fit.
Wrap tail around neck and secure with glue, nail polish, etc.
Replace top on ornament.
