Bacardi Limited Undertakes International Environment

Initiati ves

As part of Bacardi Limiteds commitment to philanthropy and
community involvement, the company undertakes initiatives in the
following four areas: arts, education, health, and the environment.
These initiatives allow the company to give back to communities
around the world and provide opportunities for its employees to
engage in philanthropic activities.

In the United States, Bacardi drew upon the recent growth in
biking as a primary mode of transportation to conceive of a new
bikeshare program. At the Bacardi office in Coral Gables, Florida,
the vodka team created a program to provide employees with
bikes, helmets, and locks, thereby allowing them to run local
errands in a fast, economically conscious manner. Employees
also have the opportunity to get a little bit of exercise while at
work.

In Bermuda, Bacardi staff volunteered on the Trunk Island
national nature reserve. Collectively contributing dozens of
service hours, the team participated in a habitat restoration
project that involved removing non-indigenous plants and
replacing them with native species. Bacardi employees began
working at Trunk Island during Corporate Responsibility (CR)
Month in 2012 and have continued to volunteer at the reserve.
