Dear Mr. Chesky,

I represent Bebo Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Bebo”) in trademark matters. It has come to my attention that on or about
July 16th, 2014, you announced and began to use a new logo for AirBnB named “Bélo”. As you noted in your blog
post (“blog post”), the logo represents belonging, and community.

However, as the internet subsequently noted, the Bélo logo also represents a smorgasbord of genitalia.

As you probably know, Bebo has historically been a pioneer in Genital Marketing(TM). Just last year, I announced on
YouTube that Bebo’s revolutionary “whiteboard” feature had aggregated the world’s largest collection of hand-drawn
penii. The video announcement grew virally, and netted over 1M signups for the Bebo re-launch.

I contend that the visual representation of genitals has become an iconic, strong, firmly associated image with the
Bebo brand worldwide.

Given that Bebo has hung its hat on the tip of Genital Marketing(TM), we firmly request that you discontinue the use
of the “Bélo” logo immediately. The phallic nature of the AirBnB logo has the potential to confuse, conflate, and
deceive the general public. Furthermore, continued practice of Genital Marketing(TM) is likely to falsely create the
impression that AirBnB is associated with, affiliated to, or as funny as Bebo.

As fans of the AirBnB lodging service, we hope that you are able to remedy the situation by withdrawing the logo
promptly. I appreciate your understanding of this sensitive matter.
