1) Foundation Row: Ch 21.

Beg 2nd ch frm hk, Pick up 20 loops across, working into the bumps on the under-
side of ch. Rtrn.
2-18) Forward: TKS across. Rtrn.
19) Bind off.
20) Ch 1, turn. Sc 2. Ch 3. (skip the ch 3) Sc 8. Ch 3 (skip the ch 3), Sc 8. Ch 3 (skip the ch 3), Sc 2.
21) Turn. Sl st 2. Sc 3 into ch 3 loop. Sl st 8. Sc 3 into loop. Sl st 8. Sc 3 into loop. Sl st 2.
22) Continue to sl st around the other left side, bottom, and right side edges. End off.
Sew 3 buttons onto the edge opposite the button loops.

Follow the instructions below in the order written to make the covers. Instructions between stars *like so* are to
be repeated as instructed. Abbreviations are defined at the end of the pattern, and special instructions are be-
low.
Rtrn (return): Yo, pull through 1 loop. *Yo, pull through 2 loops* across.
TKS (tunisian knit stitch): *Insert hook from front to back of fabric between the front and back vertical bar, yo,
pull up loop* across.
Bind Off: To bind off, sl st into the vertical bars.
These shoulder strap covers protect babys neck from being bitten by the
sharp seat belt straps on the car seat, and offer a cushy pad to nap
against. Designed to fit 1.5 wide seatbelt straps.
