Each team will interview at least one adult who works in our school.
Each team will give an oral presentation to a kindergarten class introducing one adult helper, the video interviews and the location of the videos.

Differentiated Instruction: You will find a variety of methods for differentiation in the Instructional Strategies for All Learners column above. This project is designed to be used with beginning 2 nd grade students which means the students will need to practice skills often to incorporate the learning goal in their daily activities. There are multiple opportunities to practice different activities before creating a final product. The classroom teacher will choose the students for teams to provide for mixed grouping so students can support each other in the learning process. There are several online resources/videos for students that need additional practice to develop confidence with the learning goals. Teacher may need to form guided writing groups to provide additional instruction on letter writing and writing interview questions.
Brainstorming activities will be conducted through large group, think-pair-share, and fish bowl activities to encourage participation by each student.
Interviews students will work in pairs to conduct a summer interview using a prepared form, teams will brainstorm questions for adult interviews, teams will practice interviewing each other and being the video recorder, Symbaloo has online resources for research on interviews, BrainPop Jr has easy and difficult quizzes on speaking and listening, Quizlet allows for repeated practice of activities to build confidence on subject matter and for formative assessment. Teacher will be monitoring groups and teaching mini-lessons during large group meetings. 2 Quizlet quizzes have been prepared one with more multiple choice and T/F questions for a formative assessment and the second with more fill in the blank questions for the summative assessment. Additional formative quizlets can be created as needed.
