BPM is the management of business processes reflecting on organizational functions

and technologies for bringing changes within common purpose so that business does
not fail.
There is similarity in BPM and continuous improvement, which is raised as an issue. I
agree with this argument because business process re-engineering is about continuous
improvement but it is not the same and similar to it. The concept of continuous
improvement covers wide areas, which consists of BPM so it is similar and not the
same. In fact, continuous improvement is one of the approaches but not whole of
BPM, which is to obtain etra benefits. There is no point for BPM when there is no
achievement of improvement benefitting customers and employees in bringing
improvements for success of the product or service.
T!M and BPM practitioners are within the same loop of continuous improvement
"#ischer, $%%&'. Moreover, in order to obtain efficient BPM, there will be integration
of T!M tool or techni(ue such as )i )igma for obtaining the maimum continuous
improvements in the business process "*shraf, $%+%'. ,eston - .elis adds that there
should be organizational ensuring of continuous improvement culture by BPM
embedded for improving processes with initiatives from the people and business.
In conclusion, BPM methodology within any organization has integration of T!M
activities that creates similarities issues and particularly with the continuous
improvement within their processes and technologies. There should be application and
integration of the both for effective and efficient management of resources to obtain
the optimum results benefitting customers.
