Elementary CE514- Electronic Portfolio Development and Assessment Bridge Course Scottsdale Course and Portfolio Requirement ED5270 Foundations of Teaching EDU269 Student Multimedia PowerPoint Presentation- I created and presented a PowerPoint presentation based on a unit plan I had designed. The PowerPoint met the requirements of a provided scoring rubric. ED5060 Theories of Learning and Cognitive Development EDU270 Classroom Observations- I completed three assigned observations in my internship placement classroom, spanning a period of 6 weeks.
EDU272 Case Study- I read and analyzed a case study involving student behavior. Analysis was done through the lens of several theories. SE5400 Classroom Intervention and Special Education Strategies EDU222 IEP Meeting Reflection- I attended the IEP meeting of a student in my internship placement and wrote a 1.5 pg. reflection on it. Classroom Observation- I observed in a self- contained special education classroom and answered 8 questions about the experience (about 2 pages). Reflection (Signature Assignment)- At the end of the course, I wrote a 1 page reflection on what I learned and how my perspective about individuals with disabilities had been changed.
EDU276 Classroom Management Video Analysis- I searched for, viewed, and analyzed videos of classrooms for the teachers management strategies. With a partner, I shared these videos with the class, discussed our analysis, and facilitated a discussion amongst our peers about the strengths and weaknesses of each video. RL5760 Linguistic Principles and Methods of Teaching ESL EDU220 SEI/ESL Methods Presentation- Myself and one other student delivered a presentation on the use of manipulatives in a classroom. We included a Powerpoint presentation and an activity which our peers participated in.
EDU233 Group Grammar Lesson Presentation (Signature Assignment)- I worked as part of a small group to create a presentation for our peers. We included direct instruction to students, followed by small group work on the lesson goals. ED5080 Instructional Strategies and Curriculum EDU290 Lesson Plan (Signature Assignment)- I developed, and taught 2 lessons to the 7 th grade science class I interned with.
EDU293 Lesson Plans- I developed and delivered 2 lessons in my intern class. I then turned in the lesson plans and instructor feedback from delivery.
EDU295 Social Studies Group Lesson- I worked as part of a small group to plan and carry out a social studies lesson based on state standards, and instructor- required lesson components.
